Matsuo Midori

Being sick in bed means that I get to watch more Japanese TV than usual. Today I get to see one of my fave presenters a lot - Midori Matsuo.
In the video below, you can see that she has to stick her hands in a box and guess whats inside by touching the object - its an octopus ^^;
While Japanese TV can be interesting at times, there are hardly any serious documentaries - the reason being that the programs that bring in all the advertising are variety shows.
Luckily we've got a BSTV digital tuner where I can catch up on some of the more educational stuff - these channels are not available on the current analog band.
Is TV generally interesting or crap in your region? Feel free to post YouTube stuff as examples.
