Wonfes Cosplay

This was the only cosplay photo I took at the Wonfes - its Miku and the boss of Good Smile in at their backstage station where they were camped.
One of the reasons why I don't go to the cosplay area anymore is that you have to line up in front of each cosplayer just to get photos - it was very hot outside ^^;
How important is cosplay coverage to you? Also wondering if any of you cosplay.
Yesterdays cosplay coverage can be found at Kirinon and MP Zero.
If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.
If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.

Yikes ... lining up in the heat for pictures seems a little rough ... unless their eyes are just that good :)
I like checking out the cosplayers at conventions ... sometimes you see some amazing outfits and sometimes you just see some bad ones. I try not to judge as it's just people expressing their love for their characters. It's all good.

I love seeing cosplayers. Some of their outfits can really be amazing. It's just too much work to do it yourself. Even store bought costumes are really expensive.

i dont really care about cosplay unless the girl is very cute/hot that i just cant resist.anyway just dont do anything that will knock you out.otherwise we wont have dc to look forward to anymore

Seeing hot girls cosplaying is awesome and all but Yeah I would not line up to go outside in the heat just to view them.
Oh and I don't cosplay at all.

I'm still thinking about it.
All the events I covered on my blog so far where considerably centered on cosplays.
But now I'm thinking if all the trouble I had to take the pics, select them, edit and finally post were worth it.
Too many people takes pics of cosplayers, and some cosplays are just repeated over and over and over again.
So much that I just decided not to take any more pics of Naruto, Bleach, Final Fantasy and some other overdone cosplays.
I'll keep open to very different, unusual or perfect cosplayers though. And try to cover other stuff on events....

cosplay is awesome, where else can you see a mix of 2d and 3d?

I love cosplay. In a way, it's like figures to me: translating a 2D character into a 3D medium. I also want to get into cosplay photography but it's hard to dress up and take photos at the same time. ^_^;;

The only reason for me to go to an event here is to take pictures of cosplayers, everything else is worthless IMO.

personally I don't think cosplay coverage is all that important. most of your readers are more interested in figure coverage anyway. btw it must be tough wearing the stormtrooper outfit during a hot day. black wetsuit, armor and all.
http://www.marvinryan.com
on the other hand if it adds quality to DannyChoo.com why not, however if it's too much trouble it might not be worth it. taking photos in the air conditioned hall then lining up to take photos of cosplayers under the hot sun, you might end up with catching a cold.
about the second question. I haven't had the chance to cosplay yet. closest thing would be wearing a costume for Halloween. wonder if that counts as cosplay. ^^

Love cosplay and it's culture simply because I could never do it. I don't have the figure for it..hmm that doesnt stop a lot of americans from doing it though >.> Ok i could never do it because I hold myself in too high esteem.

Well the conventions here have no figure presentations like in Japan. So mostly, I take pictures of cosplayers. IMO there are a lot of good cosplayers here x_x

Don't really care unless it's really good. But if it takes that much time just to snap a pic, it's too much trouble imo
???Confused???
Well if it's really good cosplay I don't mind...

it would really be a shame if we were to miss out cosplay on the land where it originated from.
i wouldn't mind if you just take the photos of the ones that are really good though. ^____^

Cosplay coverage is good, but not necessary. I'd leave it to sites that specializes in cosplays.
Unless you have the ability to split your cells like an amoeba into another Danny, I'd rather you concentrate on one thing first.

I really enjoy the cosplay photos and coverage. I think it really helps round out the event (Whatever the event happens to be at the time).

I dig cosplay, and have cosplayed as Nabeshin once (although all the parts were store-bought). I am going to take a sewing class soon, so that I can make my own costumes.
I think cosplay is really fun, and I like checking out other peoples' costumes, as well.

GenCon has a pretty broad selection of cosplayers, mostly on Friday and Saturday (The costume contest is on Saturday.) but there are some bad ones.

I always enjoy seeing cosplay. It can be a lot of work. Wish I was there to shot cosplay.
I'm a fan of cosplay coverage also. I've only been in an environment w/ cosplay once, and that was at Celebration III for Star Wars, in Indinapolis. Amazing stuff there, i really regretted not making a serious attempt at something after i was there the first day.
I wish i had video of one moment when we first arrived: We were getting our passes checked and let into the main area , and the 501st Legion was doing all the security and other tasks. I watched 2 of them pull a guy aside at random and start questioning him quite sternly. The guy was looking rather frightened and off guard, until one Stormtrooper pulls out a picture of R2-D2 and C-3PO and asks "have you seen these droids?". Ahhhh it was a great moment.
