Another useful Japanese word - Shinda (死んだ(しんだ)) which is the past tense of the verb Shinu (死ぬ(しぬ)) which means "to die". I used the past tense because I am physically dead and my soul is typing this entry as my body rejuvenates for another day tomorrow.

Just got back from the Wonder Festival 2006 and must have sweated 9.5 pints of sweat in the armor - I need to find some sort of material that absorbs sweat because my ribbed neck, suit and gloves were soaking wet!
T'was my first time to attend an event as a cosplayer and it was actually more fun that I thought it would be - made tons of cosplayer acquaintances too. Oh and before I forget - thanks to all of you who dropped by - was great meeting all of you ^^.

Anyway, just thought I'd update you and let you know that I'm alive and did'nt die from the heat in the armor. Heres a peek at the catch of the day for me...

Wasn't paying too much attention and ended up getting the orange bikini version of Yurika Misumaru - would have preferred the white. But still - very nice figure.

Arrived at Big Site at about 1PM and gave up on the hope of getting myself these Wonder Festival limited edition event only figures but they still had a few boxes left by 5PM. I usually take my figures out of the box but the packaging of these are so nice that its hard to get myself to rip them open. 2,500 yen for a pair - hmmm - should have got two sets...

To participate in the cosplay shenanigans, one has to register their name and address at the counter just next to the entrance. The staff then give you this naff looking sticker to stick about your person. It costs 2,000 yen to get into Wonder Festival and there is no additional charge to costume play.

And here is a teaser of the cosplay shenanigans we had today - t'was loadsa fun! Will upload the rest probably after the Chara Hobby coverage - or maybe in between.

Today I came mainly for the cosplay so dont have that much figure coverage ( I do have some though including a fantastic figure of Motoko Kusanagi ) but I'll easily make that up for that with the Chara Hobby goodies ^o^.
