Hijacked from wcouldx.
This figure of Riannon is looking just fine - apart from the stand. Looks like shes just stepped in a bukkake beast or something.
I love my Queens blade Airi and Tomoe Miko but the bases are horrible. My Yuukanalia base was pretty horrible too.
You got figures with lousy bases that you would like to report?

Original text from wcouldx below.

Riannon from the new PS3 Tears of Tiara game by Aquaplus. Scheduled for November 2008 release by Kotobukiya.

Megahouse's Queens Blade figure's base was the same from the first figure of the lines. Me cant complaint much though, coz their price were cheaper than other's castoffable figurines and at the same time didnt have lousy quality

that's true, Megahouse's figure is nice and cheap. I don't mind the ugly base tho.

I do not mind as well, heck I think of that as a glue that she stepped on, how sticky is that can't get off her.

Wow she looks nice! If given the chance I will buy her. I don't care about the base especially if the figure looks that good! x_x

I'm with you on the Yuukanalia, hot figure but the 'have to jab iron spires into her sides to get her to stand straight and hope to HELL she doesn't slip free' approach is terrible. That base looks awful, it doesn't even look even, the right side looks like it doesn't meet as flush to the ground as the left, but it's possible that the lighting just makes it look that way.

If I buy this one I'd probably get a modder's base and fit her to it instead. Something nice and clear and simple.

All of my figures have nice bases. Coloured(4 purple, 2 pink, 1 blue), or patterned from the series(Corti's or Sumomo's is my fave base). There are a few plainer bases, but in Belldandy's case it doesnt really matter. Clalaclan's is the weirdest, like a lid from a tuppawear box lol.

I don't really care about the base since the main thing you should be focusing on is the figure...

There are some simple tricks to spice up a boring base. If you have a store that sells railway supplies near you, try picking up some artificial grass. If you use some diluted white glue, you can sprinkle it in layers onto the base and end up with a nice grassy base. Remember to take the figure off first!

Alternatively, if it's a beach scene, try getting a putty like Polly Filla, and spread it roughly around the base. With a little bit of sand-coloured paint, you'll have a beach scene.

This is a model I built, but I used the same techniques on the base as I noted above:

Hell yes! Ornate clothes on girls = awesome. She looks like a magic user. I guess you could always make your own diorama to hide the base a bit.

Very nice figure, I like the detailing on the outfit. Interesting base - it looks very similiar to the bases that Yujin use for some of their larger gashapon releases. Suitable for gashapon but not what I'd expect Kotobukiya to be using.

I wonder if U can customise something to put between the shoes and the base, to make it look like grass or some ground texture?

I think the bases I like the least in my collection are those with Alter's Kanu and Alter's Chouun. I don't like that cheap clear color looking action with no text or design or anything. Even if it was clear or just black or white that would've been better and of course I prefer decorated bases. Lovely fig though. The base just looks really weird and the way she's standing is weird to. I might get her anyway.

    Sweet!
The problem on that base is that if you have any problems with it, no way to use the figure without the base.
