AkibaBlog discovers a book with "Women can only be JPG or paper" - a book about otaku life.
Do you agree?

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.
If you are a regular reader then this message will probably annoy you each time - hide it forever.

This item was posted in the Japanese Pop Culture category. You can see more of everything else or subscribe via RSS instead.

ha. they're forgetting cloth, but that's besides the point.

my fellow otaku claim to be afraid to go 3D because of impossible standards imposed upon them from 2D. i somewhat agree, when indulging in dreamland diverts you from arriving where it meets reality.

I don't know, i've met and seen some pretty hot women. THere's alot more of them than you might think. All that an Otaku needs is some balls and something intersting to talk about to keep em interested. But i guess some would still prefer 2D. So add resilience and thick skin to keep from being crushed.

It's true. Women only exists on paper or jpg. The sightings of women in real life have been successfully debunked as feverish imaginations of the otaku mind.

Some otakus have even claimed to talk to women. Investigators from 2ch have considered contacting X-Files to solve such phenomena. The otaku community holds guarded optimism on the issue.

Says anonymous from 4ch, "We know some women exists in PVC as well, but I think women in real life are simply a devious conspiracy conjured by the government to avoid real issues about the economy."

    More news at 11.

not too nice to hear. I'm not a feminist but it seems unfair that we get the paper treatment and act like mere objects to men who don't have the balls to even try to talk to us. Afraid of pain? We're afraid too after all and part of learning to find you dream girl (and guys for us ladies) is to learn what pain and joy is of having a real someone

But yes, we all have to admit, paper girls are *picture perfect* and we can't beat that now can we? But let's be careful that we brand a gender that they're only good on paper ne?

This could probably be my fate someday. I'm too afraid to engage in a REAL relationship. I don't want to get hurt AGAIN like last time. At that time, I was too stubborn, too stupid to accept the fact. But from that I realize that I'm just a pathetic guy, no girl would ever like me. Maybe I am stuck with JPG or paper... or rather I AM stuck to JPG or paper.

I'm not feminist but, I can't agree with that. There is only so much that paper can deliver. It's perfect, to the point of losing the essence of what woman really are. I don't think it's any bit easier for woman to approach men, as I'm sure most men mention that it is hard for them.
Even eroge shows that the has to take action somewhere.. so, that says something.

That said, the idea of paper may suit certain people and if that's their choce, I have no problems with it. It just doesn't seem fitting for me, that's all.
