Firefox 1.0 RC 1
Mozilla.org has announced Firefox RC1 which you can find on their ftp site here. What are you waiting for?
And for those of you who don't know, you can run Firefox from removable media such as a USB HD like this;
- Copy the Firefox application folder and your profile folder (which should be under C:Documents and Settingsyour_windows_user_nameApplication DataMozillaFirefoxProfiles) to the removable media. For example; "Z:WebAppsFirefox" for the application and "Z:WebAppsFirefoxProfile" for your profile.
- Whip out Notepad and stick in the following line, then save the file in the Firefox application directory as "firefox.bat"
start firefox.exe -profile "Profile"
This is basically telling Firefox not to use the default profile and to use your profile instead. - You can disable the disk cache to keep your Firefox directory light by setting the cache to 0 under options.
