Gorgeous cosplayer found at member Asrai's site. Does anybody have more details about her or more importantly - links to stashes of photos of her?

When I saw the word philippines in the background I immediately thought that it was Alodia. She's one of the best cosplayers here and I just love her works. ^^ Saw her once and yes, she is gorgeous.

Oh dear, I believe I heard about her last week, there were some interesting debates regarding her. She seems to be a cosplay idol in the Philippines. Other pictures I remember seeing are lines and lines of fans snapping pictures of her whiling she was signing autographs.

Holy crap she's gorgeous. Really truly gorgeous. She has one of the most perfect figures I've ever seen.... I always compare the waists of 3D the waists of 2D girls, trying to see if there is a waist that compares to 2D girls. Alodia is possibly the closest thats come to 2D girldom.

I'm not exactly a fan of her maybe because I'm not really into cosplay but I met her on several occasions , both on comic and games conventions and non-otaku events. All I can say negative rumors about her have been greatly exaggerated for various reasons. She's obviously an otaku (from what I noticed, she's more of a gamer than an anime fan ) but not exactly as a weeabo as the hate posts say at 4chan. I never even heard her speak in Japgrish or Wapanese, just straight English or Tagalog.
I noticed that most of her haters are fellow Filipinos. I really couldn't pin-point the real reason why they hate her. But it always normal in my country to be hated for being popular. (CRAB MENTALITY) Way to go guys!

Just do what you do. If you guys don't like her then just mind something else.

Wow! I've been lingering around this site for many weeks and this is the first time that a discussion became heated up like this. And there are many of those who comment whose name I saw for the first time (and registered June 26, 2008). So, being a guest at all times, I decided to register and join the fun.

I like cosplays and kind of think that cosplayers have confidence and pride in what they're doing. For what she achieved, she must've put a lot of effort in it. So, I don't quite understand people are saying this and that, making issues bigger when people just can say if they appreciate it or not. I'm not taking sides, just don't like the direction this post is threading.

my my... this thread bas been becoming a bashing/flame baiting thread... guys, i think we should be on topic with respect to the site owner... everyone is entitled to his/her opinions but if you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all... and we're here online and this is not some school wherein we have people checking if we have correct spelling or not... there's always the possibility of typographical errors right?

@alodia: just keep doing your thing... always remember that you can never please everybody... if you're enjoying what you're doing, criticism wouldn't really matter and thus, you shouldn't be affected by it... i was at the toycon and honestly, i was impressed by your portrayal of i-no... XD

Lol i might agree that she's not that 100% filipino but drop the plastic surgery thing , she's all natural even when she's just starting ( i have fortunately seen her progress from the very start), her looks never did change not even a bit , esp that slim body of hers. And here in our country , plastic surgery are only common for the stars and for pron stars ( ESP PRON STARS~! ). Our otaku community disgrace such thing also too.

The one about ID? I just voiced out what my (and my fellow batch mates') is/are experiencing within our course. Too bad, I got all the hate because I executed it. And I really don't understand why every thing I do gets blown up to large proportions. ^^; There is actually more to it than that. I mean, I just want others to know what my course, Information Design, is not and stop asking me questions like: "Do they teach you anatomy in your majors like FA courses in other schools? Dynamic poses? Nude drawing sessions? Drawing plates?". Sadly, the answer to all these questions is 'no'. I end my reply here because I don't want to revive dead and resolved issues.

        Peace out! ^^v

Hello, henry, I've been cosplaying since year 2003, way before cosplaying got extremely popular here in the Philippines. Before, I was got into conventions with only 13 cosplayers at the most. Nowadays, we have like 200+ per convention. :]

"These opinions can be respected or not"
I appreciate that. But to tell you the truth, I don't manipulate. That's a very strong word. I simply voice out opinions, mine and my friends', because sometimes it also has to be heard. Like what you are doing now. These opinions can be respected or not. But then again, I don't expect everyone to like me or to be in the same wave-length as I, so I leave it at that. No single person can please everyone. And that's a fact. I am the kind of person who doesn't really force other people to do something if it isn't their thing. I respect them regardless of who they are. :)

Yet again, blame others? Well, we cannot exclude external factors. I've done things as right as possible and explained how things were mixed-up but still some people think that everything is all my fault. That is an abuse-of-reason. I've apologized and accepted part of the accusations, but other people still find it hard to forgive. ^^; I pretty much am the first to reach out or apologize to someone hoping to be friends because nothing can be reaped from hate. Working together, I believe, would be a better solution to all this. :)

        Cheers~ :)

PS: Sorry, Sir Danny, for spamming this page. >.>m

        :)
I love how bold you are. If you are an artist, you should know that every artist incorporates a little of his or herself into his/her work. :)

I don't copy artworks without crediting the artist. I have idols and I see them as a sort of inspiration in improving in my skill. Copying is the first step of learning (of course, with proper credit), but more often than not, my drawings are based on imagination during break time in school.

Chaotic? On the contrarty, I am happy with my life. :) My family supports me. My true friends are there for me. I am doing well in a good school. Yes, I am not oblivious to haters... But as the saying goes:

"Do you have enemies? Good! That means you stood up for something in your life."

Yes. :) My first cosplay was the Ragnalaunch convention (September, 2003) and there were only a handful of cosplayers there. Of course, I did not win because it was my first try at it. And it's fine because my friend (years before that convention) won. :) That was the first con that I attended along with my little sister. Anyway, I began attending more conventions after that like "Final Fantasy: The Gathering", "Toy Con", etc.

        :)

It is P120 for the base, dear. :) That is just one part of the set up which is void of the materials and embellishments, such as the cloth hand-picked by me so quality is not exchanged for its price, Swarovski crystals, beads, Swiss laces, flowers, silver chains on some, silver studs, etc. If you add that up, it is more than just the labor of the base itself. So adding the two (+ external costs such as the packaging and transportation to get the materials all together) would cost a lot more. Not to mention, that I did the decorations on the plain base, not Mang Poli.

        Anyway,

        :p

Well, each convention has a different number of cosplayers. I have attended one where there were only 13. You cannot predict the number of attendees and cosplayers in an event. I didn't say that Anime Explosion had 13. Kindly read again.

Please don't be so imposing. We all have our own experiences. :p

In addition to that, you can't tell how many cosplayers there are in a competition since the trend fluctuates.

        Anime Explosion = 40 cosplayers
        C3 Con 2003 = 100-200+
        M3 Con 2007 = 100+
        M3 Con 2008 = 100+
        Toy Con 2008 = 159
        Game Girl 2008 = 9

With this unpredictable trend, you cannot say that if there were 40 cosplayers in the nation's first event, there should be more in the succeeding events. :p

A prime example of how powerful an eloquent wording can be. Although, it was few against one argument battle, with solid logic and calm demeanor, I don't see how one could lose a battle without being caught red-handed. Respect.

"Oh dear...I'm a first time poster *shock*"

I did that on purpose to show everybody what a petty minded nitpicking individual you are. This is my 2nd account and if people who are against Alodia can make an account as easy as you or I can, then those who are for Alodia can do the same. You've underestimated the strength of her otaku fan base, and that is something we cannot forgive. You've given yourself away, and like I said before - watch your back! Particularly, your dirty mouth!
