I thought I would set up a category just for hate mail seeing that I am receiving a lot lately. Also thought I would post the best ones. Todays hate mail is from a "Abel Martinez." I think I must have ruffled the poor chaps feathers or something. Whatever it is I did - he can bet that I'm going to continue doing it. Muhahaha.

Subject: Fu*king Chink

Cmon danny your like a fu*king child. Quit buying those dumass toys n shit and do something more productive with your life. All you do it seems is buy toys and watch kiddy anime films. You are living a lie a fantasy that is not real. Japan is nothing but an island with a buncha delusional overgrown kids that have nothing better to do with their time except look at half naked dolls. WTF?!

And then he sent another mail later the same day!

Subject: Quit living for yourself

Quit living for yourself danny. You keep thinking that there is no hope left in this world and that the only option is to satisfy for your own selfish desires. What if this is not true though. What if there is a hope and you just dont realize it yet or dont want to believe it. You put so much energy into this world with your career and making money and buying things for yourself and trying to please your wife and fullfill your rediculous childish fanatasies. But nothing that you are doing holds any weight. It is all meaningless endeavors. In the end you will die and what will you have to show for? Not much it seems but if you are happy living your finite lifestyle go ahead. I hope one day you realize that it is not going to get you anywhere no matter how succesful you appear to be in peoples eye

Anyway, will keep posting the entertaining hate mail as it comes in!

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.
If you are a regular reader then this message will probably annoy you each time - hide it forever.

Who does he think her is criticizing someone else's life/buisness? Honestly, if I was you Danny, I wouldn't even waste my time acknowledging this kind of crap. You don't deserve emails like this.

So what? In the end we are all going to die. Why not enjoy life? Buy figures, watch anime, draw pictures, hear music. Do all those things if they please you.
People who write this sort of mail are either jealous or complete idiots.

I may side with this ABEL guy is he suggested on what we should (figure/anime lovers) buy or do. What buy cars, join greenpeace or join communist or be Ceazar? I mean heh... each on his/her own liking and their own perspective. He may not realize the contribution we give to this world but who cares everything and everyone will turn to ash someday.

I have been into Anime since 2002 and it is a great pleasure even at my age of 42 years old. One thing in mind, there is an old saying, "mediocrity always hates excellence". In my own experiences, I have encountered a lot of opposition especially in the corporate world. One group I worked in (from 2001 to 2005), I will not say things like the company or projects other than being a major DoD company here in Colorado Springs. The given group had the mindset that "you should live to work", not "work to live". I have a life outside of work and a few people got upset or should I say, jealous. Another activity I pursue besides Anime and Japanese culture and items related to cars/motorcycles. One of the pleasures I enjoy is 4x4'ing with my pickup truck. I gotten comments at work in the given group that my activities on my own time reflects poorly on me and are "not professional". One thing I want to add, most of the power structure or should I say, management except for one or two managers were former IBM. I know IBM for a long time was a type of cult especially in the days of Thomas Watson (father and son) and they had tight control on their employees especially their personal lives. My typical response is what I do on my own time is not your business and the activities are legal.

For Danny Choo and his company, I enjoy his web site and I say all power to him to be able to get into a position to be financially independent & successful and not have to bow down to "the man".
