Download Day Firefox 3

Hijacked from Mel and thanks to Nya Chama for mentioning it earlier on too.
Firefox are trying to set a world record for the amount of downloads in a single day. I dont quite get this because Microsoft can beat this anytime by forcing updates to Windows XP no? I hate the way they force my applications to close and shut down my Windows machine just to install updates. Does Vista do that too?
Anyway, if you don't know what the fuss is about regarding Firefox, do give it a whirl by downloading it. You can add a load of functionality to Firefox which enhances the browsing experience. There are also many bugs in IE6/7 which prevent the user from seeing websites as designers intended. I have disabled some of the layout features in IE because Microsoft decided to set their own standards instead of following the W3C.
Another great thing about FF is that it checks your spelling when typing in a text field - my spelling is terrible so it helps *a lot*.
The image in this post is a screenshot of Firefox running and you can see some of my addons in the bottom right corner which are the Alexa Toolbar which enables you to see the traffic rank of any website and thus judge roughly how popular it is. You also support dannychoo.com if you use the Alexa toolbar too (find out why).
I also use Screen Grab which enables you to take screenshots of long webpages.
Could not live without the Developer Toolbar which is an incredible suite of tools for web developers.
And why do my Firefox extensions all work in Firefox 3? Because I use the Nightly Tester Tools which force just about any extension to work with any version of Firefox - all working perfectly for me. When I upgraded to FF3, I got the incompatibility complaint but a click on the "make all compatible" fixed everything.
