Just rolled out the new comment form and would like to go over the changes of late.
1.The drop down menus dont go upwards anymore ^^; The dropdowns in the nav automatically drop down on hover. The reason why other menus need a click is because I didn't want menus popping up as you moved the mouse around the page. Let me know if everything is kushty.

2.You can now comment while looking at the the reply-to comment and dont have to leave the page anymore and you dont need to type the captcha numbers anymore. Tested in IE6/7, FF and Safari Mac. I did have one machine that was running IE6 which didnt work but I gave up trying to fix it. Let me know if you come across any problems. You need to force refresh your browser cache to see the field like it is in this screenshot.
If you cant comment for some reason, leave a note in the puchi blurbs with your browser version.

3.Implemented snapshots for external links in news items and in comments. If you dont like these you can turn them off using options that appear in the snapshot window - let me know what you think of these.

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.
If you are a regular reader then this message will probably annoy you each time - hide it forever.

This item was posted in the Otaku category. You can see more of everything else or subscribe via RSS instead.

Don't know if this is intentional, but someone else mentioned it as well. Roll over menus don't disappear when you take the mouse away. I have to click off somewhere on the page for them to go away.

I actually disabled the subnav menu, as they drop down as soon as i put my cursor over them, which is annoying when im going from my links at the top of my browser, to content at the bottom. If youve changed it since then, i guess i should do a force refresh.

I agree with gordon, sometimes we need to fix something we typed wrong or something and unless it's something in member news (where we can edit the description) we have to post another comment to fix the error.

So yeah, a edit option would be very nice. Maybe something like, "You have X minutes to edit your comment."

The new Post Comment is great. Now I don't have to press back to see what I'm replying to. It would be nice to edit your posts, but I guess if you're on Firefox you shouldn't worry there. The drop down menus, I think it would be better if it went away when you move away from them. Maybe clicking on them instead of hovering over them will make them stay open?
