Hijacked from Aiko Chan who asks an interesting question - how do you arrange/display your figures?
I usually have the newest one closest to me to play about with and then keep it close by. When a new one comes along it replaces or joins the previous one until its impossible to get work done due to too many figures being on the desk ^^;

Lol at FatB's comment - "by increasing breast size."

Original text from Aiko Chan below.

Just some random question popped in my mind suddenly.
How you guys arrange your figurine on the shelf?
By series? Character name? Colour? General?
Basically I arrange mine by height =D

I've actually been thinking about this topic a lot myself lately.

Probably the latest and most favourite figure(s) on my desk. But I've come to realize that I don't have any cute girly figures at all in my collection except for a Frauline Revoltech Ayanami Rei.

On the shelf, I'd sort by height or have my favourites up the front depending how I felt.

Generally I arrange by scale, so all the figures look about the right height next to each other. Then by class (mecha, fighting, cute) and series. Since I've only got two figures from the same series (not counting gashapons) it's not really too difficult and quality (not so much actual quality, but whether I like the look or not).

It's getting to the stage though where I'm going to have to start putting figures away, simply for my own sanity and in interest of keeping the place tidy. Working out what stays out and what gets re-boxed will be difficult.

I go by a few rules of thumb:

    (a) my favorite ones take over the premium topmost shelf. I like the topmost shelf's height and viewing angle. Also, figures on the topmost shelf get all the lighting from my cabinet's installed lights.

    (b) figures of the same series go together. I'm forming my mini Shining Wind army on one shelf (just Kotobukiya Clalaclan & Seena for now). On another shelf, normal version, Blue-Abyss version and Hong Kong version Mirei-san sit together.

    (c) As for the remaining figures, I try to put the taller ones behind so they don't get crowded out by the ones in front.

    By breast size...that's cute.
I organize by series and by height. The top shelf of our computer desk has most of them. Santa Asuka is in the back because she's so tall and most of my figures are of the gashapon variety. Still, she is standing next to my other Eva toys. Which is really the only place for her because of the router sitting up there. But yeah, tall stuff in the back so it doesn't block the small things, then I try to keep them grouped by series.

Well I put my larger figures on the higher shelf so when I am sitting I can see the figures on top. I try to put my favorites more at eye level. And if there is a new one I put it on my table next to my side of the couch to look at. I also keep mangas I am in the middle of reading there as well as my Figmas because I want them within arms reach, I bought them to play with after all...that might change when I have a lot of them though.

I've got hardly any figures, but they don't have a definite place so they're scattered over the room. As for my 1/144 military collection, they are grouped in fronts/theatre of war usually and in countries (i.e. German Normandy ones are seperated from the Modern era ones etc).

My Gundam models are really scattered over the room; some are even in my sister's room (kinda donated the 1/144 HG Destiny to her).
