Japan Tornado

I had no idea that Japan had tornadoes too.
A 20 meter wide, 50 - 100 meter tall tornado hit Aomori yesterday partially destroying a few houses and wiping out electricity for 2100 homes. Nobody was injured but 113 apple trees were uprooted.
We do have earthquakes here but nothing serious in Tokyo so far.
Does your region suffer from natural disasters?
