Hijacked from Chun. Never heard of Karen Girls before but do think the lead singer is sweet - does that make me a candidate for a call from Chris Hansen?
Are there young girlie groups in your region too? Or is it a Japan only thing because there are a load of pedo bears around here?

Original text from Chun below.
Saw this video on my friend's journal (sorry her entry just happen to be not public, but I thought sharing a video on youtube should be no harm), kawaii no? I really like the girl with the twin tails :3 so cuuuute!
and pedobear, go away :P Hmmmm are these considered idols? they're obviously underage tho :P

I think they are cute and all, but everytime I watch videos like this one I understand the huge difference between pedo and loli. At least to me. :P

But anyways, I'm kinda against children on TV, or having too much publicity.

Don't hate me if you like pop idol groups like this one, but I don't think that anything good might come from this to kids their ages.

Lots of living proofs out there, and some very few exceptions...

Yep... and I'm not even that worried about pedos... at least not in Japan. As long as pedophiles are not commiting crimes, they can think whatever they can, I don't really care.

But I'm thinking more about those kids' future, their own views of the world around them, how they are going to grow up, and stuff like that.

If we take a look at pop stars, singers, actors and people who had this sort of exposure at very young ages, not rarely we'll find people who grew up with some sort of distorted view of the world, or even psychological deviations.

Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Macaulay Culkin... just for starters.

Shure some of them manages to overcome the problems... like Drew Barrymore. But she's an exception.

This is mainly why I'm in favor of not exposing kids at young ages to TVs, shows and other stuff.
