Haruna Sairenji

Shimazo has more pics of this Shueisha 1/8 scale figure of Haruna due out in September.
PPP looks nice but not too sure about the face. PPP is the new acronym for "Pose, Paintwork and Pantsu." Do pantsu have ribbons in your region too or is it a Japan thing?
Which reminds me - I need to post something with all the dannychoo.com regularly used phrases that new readers may not understand - a list below that I need to add explanations to ^^;

I haven't seen to many ribbons on pantsu here ... but then again I'm not hanging out with teenagers either :)

i've been here a year and I still don't know what ba la ba ba ba means.
I wouldn't really know anything about ribbons in pantsu here, probably only for kids, and i wouldn't be snooping around the local department store to confirm it. Imagine the looks i'd get

ba la ba ba ba = McDonald. It comes from the CM, "ba la ba ba ba I hatin' it"...

It actually means something else around here ^^;
Anybody care to elaborate?

is it sexual in nature? i heard Danny use it before but can't remember which article it was
Researcher
I believe it's because of how the "I'm loving it" sounds more like "I'm rubbing it" as pronounced in japanese ads, Am I right?
ba la ba ba, i'd hit it
there's McD commercial that said that (i'd hit it)
which could mean, i'm going to ***** it
or such

I haven't seen an pantsu with a ribbon on it in my entire life, in germany.
But i have seen a Jeans where the back of one of the tush pockets was pierced and a laced ribbon was bound truh them, did look cool somehow.
The frilly stuff is no problem... not my taste though, but a ribbon... no... are they really that common in Japan? I never did bother to check Japanese lingerie shops, since i bring enough undies with me on travels and only visit shops that have stuff i can't get in germany. ^^;

Good idea with the noob dictionary. There are 3 or 4 I don't know either.
It's always useful to learn new expressions like Chi Chi Yure misete kudasai or nigippe:D

I can tell U there are ribbons on some pantsu designs overall lol but those decorative ribbons can come off after a few washes if not careful :P usually if wearing a more form fitted outfit you would prefer not to have ribbons or lace on underwear tho ^^:

Most pantsu with ribbons are for kiddies here...
As for the figure, I don't really like Sairenji's face... Looks different, I guess...
pervert
so the ribbons on pantsu is real in japan?

Yeah Danny, I was kinda thinking about that on my blog too...
I'm starting to use so many "Otaku language" that sometimes people won't understand what I'm trying to say.
I'll probably just include something on the "About..." page.
there are more than 10 phrases that i'm not so sure abt their meaning and some might be different from my understanding.
good to have a common otaku phrases dictionary
Haha nice list you got there. xD Some of them are kinda.. uhh erotic? lol

You should add なかだし and たまけり to the list while you're at it. Hahaha. Man, Japanese is so pure sometimes, for as euphemistic as other languages (English, for one) can be about things, Japanese is actually straightforward about terms like nakadashi and tamakeri.

Can't look... at pantsu... of innocent character.. ahrg...
Danny should get around to publishing a book titled "A guide to dannychoo.com; Helpful Lingo". And then a disclaimer that goes "please use them sparingly in public".

Errr I'm not sure how to answer your question Danny. Hold on... let me ask the ladies on the street... Hi there pretty one, would you mind showing me your pantsu? I just want to check if you have... *SLAP*

I have a few panties with bows, some bras have it too. It's not too hard to find, but I think most guys don't look unless their GF/Wife/Whatever has it..

One of my students wore a large blue ribbon in her hair the other day and I was so distracted by its seemingly out of place-ness.
Never before had I seen anyone in Australia wear a ribbon and it was ... very strange.
Great Figure by the way, although I tend to collect books and manga over the more physical manifestations.

Hmz, thought this figure would be nice, but the face puts me off. About the phrases/expressions, I find that there are quite a number in that list that I don't know of; so yeah, explanations pureezze ^^

I know most of those words from my slang books, but there are always new ones like some on the list.
Sairenji is cute though.

Yes, I have seen ribbon on pantsu. Seems like I'm the only one?

I pre-ordered her, but then canceled after I got a closer look at her bangs. They look awful.
In my experience, ribbon pantsu are more common with young girls. I know I had some when I was a little.

They don't seem to be able to get the faces right on these newer To-Love-Ru characters. So she is going to the maybe if it was free list.

I also see pantsu with ribbons, but this kind of underwear is most for childs or very young girls. But also see this kind for adult women XD

I think "ribbons on pantsu" is Japan only? don't really see it here in my region. Actually I don't really care. XD

The face of the figure doesn't quite capture the Haruna from the manga

I pre'd her but I'm nervous because I've never gotten a figure made by Piccoro before and the LaLa counterpart they made looks awful in prototype pis, but I think Haruna looks cute. I like how her skirt flares but she'll be going on a lower shelf because I'm not a panties fiend. But since I'm getting the Alpha Omega LaLa and Golden Darkness I've been wondering if I should cancel this one if it's going to be inferior quality.

i feel a little depressed seeing as i knew what all those words meant... eh... ah well...
