Looks like they ran out of budget and pulled tom, dick and harry off the bus and threw them in a recording studio. Have your spent good money on good games which are ruined by bad voice acting?

My friend told me today how bad the dubbing for this game was and there is a reason behind this. If you look at the end credit, you can see that executive producer of this game in USA hired many of his family members to do the dubbing, hence the result. That is just plain wrong -_-

The Tales of Phantasia North American release had a HORRIBLE voice over. I don't think they even used real people; probably just Microsoft Sam with the pitch changed. -_-;

the dubbing reminds me of RAW DANGER forgot the Japanese name. But either way finally I can understand what they're saying and Beyond the Grave is an awesome addition!

Also, the player has the option to use the Japanese voice overs with English subs. So the game isn't ruined... just turn off the English dubs.

I was willing to give this game a chance, since I heard it was a strategy RPG, which I love but I'm not very good at XD
The English VA's were so bad that I went from my controller to my computer and onto eBay.
Yes, I know there was a Japanese language option and I played it in Japanese for a while, but the English voice acting killed it for me. Plus I don't know 80% of the characters...

I read an article somewhere the other day (Kotaku maybe?) about how the voices weren't done by normally hired and trained people, but by some guy's family / kids who works with the game. So it's basically just a bunch of no experience brats who got to ruin a game JUST FOR FUN!!! :D:D:D

Some of the dubs out there are just terrible. This is why I like it when the games allow you to switch back to the original voice acting, like with Nippon Ichi's games.
