Starship Troopers 3 will be in theaters across Japan on July 19th and Rico was in town doing the rounds of promotions. Found the previous ones entertaining and will be looking forward to this one. Isn't it about time they revive RoboCop again?

I would hate to see any movie you guys produce, due to their budget in the first film, there was no way they could make the mobile suits as described in the book(I would have loved to see the jet-pack landings during drops, oh and the K-9 units!). That being said, the story in the film did stray miles away from the one in the book.

There were no suits in the first film because it wasn't even a Starship Troopers film to begin with. The film was written, then shortly before production someone noticed "hey, alien bugs and marines. This is a bit like Starship Troopers!". A quick rights acquisition later, followed by a name change here and there, and that's the film.

The anime, though keeping the powered armour (and they look pretty good, too), is unfortunately awful. Not really worth watching, even if you're a big fan of the book.

been awhile since i read the book, but Rico came from Brazil(?) but his ancestry is Filipino which we learn in a roundabout way at the end of the book.

I'd think he'd be a bit on the brownish side, with black hair, but would he look Filipino or a mix?

Starship Troopers 3 is called Marauder after the power suits they wear in the book, but when I first saw the trailers I didn't see them anywhere, I'm afraid this film is gonna suck.

The second film had so much potential too but was so terribly executed *sigh*

    a 'creative' type

Starship Troopers 3....omg! 1st one wasn't bad as it had a decent budget and the action was cool. Never saw the 2nd - didn't have much of a budget hence it used the night a bit, less sets to build! The 3rd look intriguing but I guess it'll be a straight to DVD movie, even with Mr Rico.

I agree with many citizens of here
First one ... is the one ^^
    Buuuuuuuuuuuuuugggggggggggggggggggggggg

the last memorable quotes of the One :)

    [last lines]
Newsreel announcer: We have the ships. We have the weapons. We need soldiers. Soldiers like Lieutenant Stack Lumbreiser...
Lt. Lumbreiser: Over the target area now, Captain.
Newsreel announcer: ...and Captain Carmen Ibanez.
Carmen: This is the captain speaking. All personnel prepare for drop.
Newsreel announcer: Soldiers like Private Ace Levy and Lieutenant John Rico.
Johnny Rico: Come on you apes, you wanna live forever?
Newsreel announcer: We need you all. Service guarantees citizenship.

    ^^
