Macross Frontier Torrent

Is it me or did Macross Frontier 08 take an incredible dive of an incredibly steep cliff in terms of animation quality and story? 09 picked up a bit but was still bad. Maybe they spent too much money making the epic 07?
Just hope it starts to pick up again and not end up like Macross Zero.
