Yeah, ever since they announce the 3G version I knew Japan would get it. I guess you will be a proud owner soon enough, Danny.

They are finally bringing iPhone to Canada later this year. No idea about cost and plans yet, so I'll have to see if its worth it.

Released here. Care about it? Nope, even though I'm an owner of Apple products.

Long as AT&T is the only carrier of it in the states, won't even take a second look at it.

Been waiting patiently for the official announcement of the 3G iPhone on June 9th (@ WWDC in San Francisco). Quite possibly the worst kept secret… EVER. Will definitely buy it.

Saw my friend's hacked iphone back at uni (hacked since its actually not released yet in Malaysia).

It's awesome, but I was told one annoying thing about it is that when you want to type txt/sms, the virtual qwerty keyboard is just too small to use with fingers.

Its being released here too, but it's too expensive for a phone; I'd rather get an EEE PC or something along those lines ^^

My local mobile phone service provider has also announced to exclusively distribute the iPhone here in our region. ^^

Yeah we got the same announcement from Singtel about a month ago...definitely getting one for myself...cant wait..0_0

I'd really like to have one, but I'm afraid I'm not on the move enough to make the purchase worhwile. Neat gadget though and would definetely put on a wallpaper like that.

Iphone is Coming to Canada soon, but the question is if the provider will have a nice data plan or not... my current contract ends next year, have a 16GB Ipod Touch right now, but might end up getting a Iphone when my contract ends

We've already got it in the UK. I frankly couldn't care less. I've got an MP3 and am not worried about watching anime on the move, have a DS and books to keep me busy on car journeys.

I need a PSP though... that would give me more options as it can play video too.

I've been wanting the iPhone since it came out. I DO in fact, have an iPod Touch. They're very impressive, well worth your money in my opinion.

Bought the 16G model a while ago and jailbroke it as it's not officially available here. Took some time to get used to it, especially for writing text messages.

However the e-mail client is nice and they throw in a free ipod touch. In addition I can now play "Five Dice" whereever I go :D

Since I am in the States, we were the first to get it here. Ever since I heard about it I started looking forward to it but waited three months to get get my hands on it. Why? Well, at first it was $600 for 8GB but when I got it in September it was $200 less. My Jedi senses were right. Good things come to does who wait. I guess this applies to you Danny.

I'm stuck in a 2 yr contract that would cost about $200 bucks to get out of, so no iPhone for me yet...
But I got the ipod touch when it first came out, it's practically the same...kind of ...... '~'

I bought my iPhone on the day it released. It's a seriously awesome phone. I actually find my self using it's other features even more then the phone part of it. It great always having access to the internet, and the ipod function is amazing.

Some of you guys are really lucky! I wish I can have an iPhone.

Rogers is planning to release iPhone in canada but no news about the price or when it's going to be released though.

I might get one since it's going to be the 3G version and sell my current one (hacked version).

I was using 02 xda atom before so the change from 02 to iPhone is huge and I don't think I can go back to a different phone easily.

Nope... i don't care about the iPhone at all.
It is out in germany since a while already and had a big hype at the start but it did cool down fast.
Personaly i have a iTouch 32GB, i listen to music a lot... so i would burn up the iPhone accu faster then anything else and then i get a call? Yuck!
So i am happy i have the services seperated. Normal cellphone for calls, iTouch for entertainment.

Not released in Finland yet and havent gone with the trouble of buying one abroad, but sure will get as soon as its available in Finland just if I happen to have the extra money. And most likely I will, just gonna eat once a week to save money if I have to.

I'm happy to hear Japan is finally getting the iPhone. I'm sure a lot of Japanese people would adopt it. I wonder if it'll be the new 3G version or if it'll be last year's.

I personally am very interested in the iPhone, but I didn't pick it up yet as I knew the 2nd generation iPhone would probably be much better. I can't wait for next week to hear what Apple has upgraded in the iPhone ^_^

Its about time japan got the iphone!!!! I had mine since last September I cant do with out this phone. Apple is always on top of things!!!

My friend has the iPhone so I get to mess around with it sometimes. It's pretty good for a phone and surfing the internet while you are outside but hard to use it as a MP3 player since the music will get interrupted by incoming calls time to time -_-

Yea, iPhone is available in my region recently but lots of ppl get it from US and crack it to use in Canada already.

Available in Germany but way 2 expensive. At first you actually had to pay the full price for that bloody thing(!!400 Euros!!) and then you still had to pay 50 Euros/month for using it and for those 50 Euros you didn´t even have a complete phone flatrate. BTW: iPhone has no UMTS or MMS function, so do NOT want.

As someone mentioned, Canada gets it later this year. I've seen a few people who just imported it, and it looks awesome - heck, since I'm working part-time right now I can even afford it. I've already decided to pass and just get a crappy phone when my plan expires though.

It pains my inner techno-geek, but if I get a smart phone with good Internet connectivity I'm going to want to stay connected 24/7, and that's not very healthy. I sit in front of a laptop too long every day as is.

dont have one and dont care. I'm not an early adopter(?) of Apple products even though its been a year since this came out. I waited till the 3rd gen of ipods, 2 years after ps2 and xbox launch and a year after the xbox360 launch.

i dunno about you but he novelty of the iphone is diminishing imo...

An iPhone = up to 10 decent figurines.

i love my little iphone ... having safari is quite nice when your bored and not near a computer or anything.

only problem i have sometimes is typing ... but its not that big of a deal.

I've had mine for a while now, and it's totally worth the money imo. Internet is actually pretty fast on it (at least for me and most others in my region) and i've used it countless times in school to solve derivatives, look up videos on youtube, watch anime, and provide evidence to win debate rounds! So thank you iPhone!

Nope, although they do have the iPhone in Canada and a bit pricey. I'm better off with my LG245 cel for calls. I'd love to get a iPod Touch though.

Actually the iPhone is a wonderful mobile platform. It really has changed my whole look at mobile computing in general. Everything I used in the past (Palm, Windows CE, Blackberry, horrible WAP-based phones) was just so clunky and slow and a PITA. The iPhone changed all that.

I was just without power and cable (phone, tv, net) for 1.5 days because of mother nature and her damned storms and, thanks to charging in my car, was still able to do all of my email and web-based things I needed (pay bills, etc, etc) with the phone.

I'll stick with my 4-year XDA Mini...

not released in bulgaria, but I hope soon some operator will sign a contract with apple. But I am excited about the 3g version :)

11 july on sale schedule with the price around 20000~30000yen for the phone, should goes cheaper if you buy it with 1/2years contract

speaking about iphone, indeed everyone want it
its really amazing stuff... but if we compare it to current japan mobile on the market
the spec somehow one or two step behind
it isnt oneseg phone... only have 2mb pixel etc...
anyhow i am planning to grab it and use it mainly for mp3 player rather than mobile phone lol(currently using docomo P905i which already nice enuf)
why if u asked? becoz the price is lots cheaper than i buy ipod touch lolz

don't care much for cell phones... I'm old fashion.

This is the only cellphone I would love to have. Unfortunately, the data plan in Canada is way to costly :( .
