Fantastic idea for the ronery otaku - a girl projected onto your bed who moves about depending on how you move. Now all they need to do is make some of the cute dakimakura 2D girls move about. Shame you can only lay *next* to them though as it looks like its projected from above.

A grad student at NYU has invented a virtual girlfriend. She's an image projected on a sheet and responds to movement, such as curling up next to someone who lies down.
Makes me wonder what would happen if this was applied to otaku goods like dakimakura and bedsheets.
