      The Unicorn HG is kinda larger compared to the recent HG 00 Gundam series. Or is that just me?

        that's because in the the general scale of things the unicorn is larger than 00 mobile suits. I'm too lazy to pull out some stats from websites, but look it up. unicorn is indeed tall.

          mobile suits in the UC kept on getting bigger + 20 meters till gundam F91 when they shrank them.. so most suits, even in the alternate universe are smaller after F91 came out.. just what it is.. probably for bandai to save money in making the kits so they would use less plastic and stuff... :)

    Loved Unicorn to death. Also met a lot of idiots who hated it--all had the same complaint that "The story's too stupid--where's my Gundam SEED Eternity?".

    Like I said: Idiots.

      Absolutely agreed ! For those who haven't seen it yet; I have written a review on Gundam Unicorn which can be found here : http://saturdaymorningrobots.lithiumstate.nl/ The bottomline of my review being:

      " It absolutely felt like a lost anime from 1988. The main protagonist looks and fights like Camille (Zeta Gundam) hell; even has his own haro. Whilst the CG looks modern, the underlying tone and story was very oldskool with both Zeon and Londo bell forces portrayed in a dark light, making this feel like a Zeta/CCA era story"

      I hope that with the international blu-ray/DVD release Bandai entertainment is doing with this; that they also decide to have the novels that the anime is based on translated; so many amazing UC Gundam novels never really made it into English sadly.

    Watched it and instantly felt in love with Mirida Cruz like I did with Soma Peries. Story is seemingly going to be awesome. Another nice thing is its really good soundtrack by Hiroyuki Sawano. Considering his portfolio and his age, I say this guy has a long time ahead to satisfy my ears. At least someone new out there has reached the level of Kenji Kawaii's, Shirou Sagisu's or Youko Kanno's music.

    Good mecha fight is a plus only as I'm not one who goes crazy over that. On that note, besises 8th MS team this is the only 2nd UC universe Gundam anime I have watched.

    Next to 00, this is (now) one of my fav Gundam series. Love the animation, voice acting and overall presentation.
    Other few things that I really love about this anime is the character design. It nice that they go for an old-school design instead of one like SEED and 00.
    Another thing is that this anime are full of references from previous UC Gundam series. True UC fan will have no problem figuring out those references.
    Other best parts are the MS battle, storyline and of course, Gundam Unicorn itself.

    The one and only thing that I don't like about this anime is that we have to wait until Fall for the next episode. But then again, it's a reasonable 'price' to pay for making an epic anime.

    Many recent Gundam series such as Seed or OO were so-so but the Gundam Unicorn had some seriousness for the series since it is based on UC which is the original Gundam time line. I heard the original novel of Unicorn is not that great but I have high hope for the anime series. Hope they do well and ends up showing up on Super Robot Taisen series in the future ^^;

    For something that has an episode that lasts for an hour with epicness filled from the beginning to end is absolutely epic. The atmosphere it gives off, the music quality, character designs, older Gundam references, and even shows the first colony prototype. It was insanely hyped and it deserves it's hype for once.

    Also, can we just equally love every anime out there instead of getting ourselves into console war styled combat? :P Gundam is Gundam, stop complaining ^^.

    I just watched the fansub BD version. Battle scenes were way cool although the scenes with the RX-0 were rather minimal. Lets hope for more in the next episode. The characters were not well fleshed out well though IMHO and the plot development feels kinda lame. Oh well, the battle scenes make up for it!
