Chinese New Year in Japan

Happy Chinese New Year or Gong Xi Fa Cai! 恭喜发财新年快乐!!
Back in the UK, I would probably be normally at China Town in London scoffing on some of the afternoon Dim Sum. In Japan for the past 11 years however, we are usually at home. The nearest China Town is in Yokohama which is a wee bit far to go just for food.

I hear from folks in Malaysia and Singapore that everything is pretty dead as many of the shops close and folks laze around at home with family eating food? If you are celebrating Chinese new year, how are you doing it in your part of the world?

Do you celebrate Chinese New Year?

On a side note, I came across this page from the Japanese Tourist Board which I found interesting - looks like they want you to spend Chinese New Year in Japan ^^;
