Gundam Shizuoka

Folks who missed the 1/1 scale Gundam at Odaiba this Summer will have the chance to see it next July in Shizuoka. A spokes person said that it will be erected at the East exit of Shizuoka station. Will gve you more details closer to the time.
Details from Sanspo via reggiocomics who posted this on my wall at Facebook.

You can see more photos that I took of the 1/1 scale gundam in the Gundam Odaiba post. How many of you managed to see it in person?

And these photos taken when the Gundam was officially open to the public. Video below of the Gundam in action.

I saw it too last July. Went to Japan for the second time and it was especially for that! Glad to see a fellow Canadian went too! It was pretty epic. It was so crowed on July 11 but it was worth it. To be able to touch it was pretty amazing, being so close to it is impressive. Going back to Japan next yer so this news is pretty awesome. BTW, it says here : http://zotaku.com/2009/12/24/11-scale-gundam-to-rise-again/ that they will dissemble it again in May 2011 to put it back at the Bandai Hobby Center to stay there forever...

Fantastic news! I smiled so big when I read this at work. ^_^

Would love another chance to see it. Last couple of times, the Gundam had been behind construction fencing, hiding it's feet and keeping me from really seeing it super close. Also, I never got to see it light up.

Let's hope that Shizuoka is it's permanent location. I'm sure it would do good for Shizuoka's economy as well to have so many tourists visiting.

I was in Japan during last 2 1/2 weeks of Japan and my plan was to go see it on its last day, which was Aug. 31st but it rained so hard that day I decided not to go, I was so sad and mad at my procrastination...

Actually, I also went to summer Comiket so I was pretty close to Gundam Odaiba but was too tired to walk down to Odaiba from Tokyo Big Sight. I should of just bite the bullet and went to see it... T_T
