Figutto

Figutto is Griffons new line of articulated figures. Akiba Hobby has some photos of the up n coming Tamaki sample thats due out in March.
Included with Tamaki is an articulated stand and a case for face and hand parts - the whole set for 3,360 yen.
Are you excited about the Figutto line or think that Griffon should stick to scale figures?

I agree, if the paint on the joints matched the skin tone, it would look much better.

It's not very noticeable when the arm is bent, but when the arm is straight, it's very obvious

Ok, I'll backstep here, figutto's website shows a better pic, with color-matched joints, so I'll apologize there. Akiba Hobby has some cool pics, *but I got distracted by Hoi-Hoi, my bad o.O * So.......I'll shut up now.......

Not so sure about the joints being a different colour to the surrounding 'flesh'. But perhaps, this is only a pre-production run, and they'll sort that out with the real figures.

If this is to the same scale as the Figma's and Revoltech Frauleins, then this is all to the good. With more manufactures making pose-able figures, there will be more selection of characters to choose from.

To be completely fair, it's not that I think Figutto is bad... it's just not Figma.
And since the only articulated figures I like are Figmas, I can't really say Figutto is bad.

The only exception so far is Revoltech Yotsuba, and it's really the only Revoltech I like.

Her breasts look like implants and the joints are a real eye sore. Not my favorite line of figures. I do have a pro to all these cons though! I like the face/hair. It looks great. Well made and the expression on her face is very cheerful. But sadly enough, the cons out weigh the pros.

Female anime figures are the center of interest because they are way more beautiful than real 3D women! So when you add ten joints (looking awful) to articulate the figure, it is no more as pretty as it used to be... Scale, PVC, marble-like figures all the way! If I want to play with my figure, I can go and buy a two-dollar fully articulated plastic toy... Sorry for the tension but where ever I look I see articulated figures and it becomes more and more irritating...

Figuttos are alright, but they should stick to scale figures. The figuttos remind me of scaled down dollfies.

I would like to be able to pose figure, but hate the joint look. Kinda ruins the sexy, don't ask why it just does.

I think the joints being molded into a separate colour is what kills it. Other than that, I dig it. Overall, it looks much better tan mobip, so I'm definitely looking forward to the future line up of this series.

working to pay for figures etc.

Interesting but not as slick as Figma or Revoltech - the joints are more like ball jointed dolls. This might make them more durable however. I notice they are prototyping Touhou figures, which will go down well with a certain demographic...

Not so good. I rather prefer Figmas.
The joints should match body color as well.

If it wasn't for the neck joint, I would have pre-ordered it right away...

    a blue collar

the face is nicely done and really looks like tamaki, but somehow the way the joints are attached or angled with the body parts are .. how to say it.. too 'obvious'? it was like the joints are taking away your attention, its unlike figma where the joints seems natural and slick and didn't take your attention away from the figure as a whole
