Anime Merchandise

By this time of year, the office is flooded with samples. Anime merchandise of all shapes n sizes. For anime licenses, the license holder typically gets 5% royalty of the unit price. I heard yesterday that the most expensive license in the world is the Star Wars license at 18% @.@
One of the trends I'm noticing with my clients is that they are coming out with their own original characters which gives them freedom to make what they want. Take Max Factory for example coming out with their own eroge Sekirara.

K-ON! Yui-chan wind breaker. Up until now I used to use my white Microsoft one but these black ones by Cospa better suit the rest of my wardrobe ^^

This was lying around the table too which I thought I'd throw in for good measure. Tis a turtleneck from Uniqlo - cost about 900 yen. Love the current Uniqlo ads running on TV now. Uniqlo stores available in your neck of the woods too?

Not sure what version this is of the VF-25F. Its gray instead of white. Prefer the white version I think. probably give this a lick of top coat later to get rid of the sheen.

The Kobato anime is alright. Although i stopped watching after 4 episodes. The story is kind of interesting, but also vague - leaving room to play around with the rest of the story. For me, it may be something i'll come back to when i have nothing else to do. Not to say it's bad - it just isn't something that grabs my attention by the nads. Unlike the seconds season of Darker than Black.. oh man - good stuff, it;s gotten me into a Hei drawing spree.. i'll stop here

Not really into the super ecchi stuff or the licenced animu clothes. I'm more of a figure/artbook/keychain ect person, I've only ever found two dakimakura that I like (they were excellently droolworthy >:3).
That Kobato figure looks charming :)

I spot Weiss Schwartz Decks there... Hmm, Queen's Blade and the other one looks either like the Nanoha or Little Busters, not to mention the Chaos TCG Deck there... Haha, i have the Little Busters deck, pretty cool card illustrations and also gameplay wise is kinda fun =p

And Kobato is a fun anime to watch, cute and silly at times...

And that blue lil dolphin that is peeking out, got it from Singapore? XD

For the Weiss Schwartz deck, i found it through an online local forum... They were selling decks and booster packs and also provided links to card translations...

Normally for TCG stuff, i'll just go to one of the local TCG dealers in my area...

Kobato is a great anime as a matter of fact. It's a bit repetitive in some ways, but the main character is very lovable and the whole atmosphere brings out good morals, "kawai-ness", and of course: lots of naivety.

and yay for se.kirara although not one of my anticipated eroge to play next year but still will try it out since it has aoyama yukari and miru as VA for 2 of the characters :D
and there's the idol storyline that i'm curious how they are going to write it out.
not to mention the figmas :D

too bad the character design and opening trailer isn't to my liking.

though hope their first game is good so that there would be more games (and figma and nendo's) in the future :D

The windbreaker and hoodie look nice, pitty i don't trust the rather bad pictures of webshops to actually buy those things.
Most of the time they only have a standard digital sample and not even a real picture of the product which gets on my nerves. It gives an idea about what you "could" get, however the quality is hard to measure... and then consider the price... nee. :/
And in case something with it is wrong, you are stuck with it on top of it or have to go truh a load of hassle to return it - in case of overseas shipments at least.

Germany needs a proper retailer for such things... :/

Little Tokyo would be an awesome place for a Uniqlo. I wonder if the former bookstore in the Little Tokyo Center is still vacant?

And Grass Jelly...did you go out last night? The Valley got down to UPPER 30s. BRRRRRRR. Had to fire up the furnace last night.

Actually a more logical place for a Uniqlo would be Sawtelle District. The high-rollers who might stray from Beverly Hills for a Uniqlo shopping binge would be more likely to go to Sawtelle than to Little Tokyo in Downtown LA. Even though it's gotten gentrified as hell I'm sure there are still people on the Westside who think Downtown has cooties. Of course, they think the Valley has worse cooties. :P >_<

The color difference on the VF-25 Alto is cause it is based on the Macross Frontier movie color scheme instead of the original art/TV Anime. It is more towards gray then the previous pure white.

I'm looking forward to visiting UNIQLO in New York this January ^^
I hope they eventually open one up here in Australia, but I imagine that won't happen for another few years. It took them long enough to bring American Apparel and Topshop.

Tears! I wanted that mio wind breaker but am budget tight. Will get it someday!

Kobato is quite nice to watch for leisure, but if you want storyline/ecchi/action, then Kobato may not be for you.

If DC office too cramp up for the goodies, can always store some at SOZO. We have plenty of spaces. ^^

Awww... I love Urotan... T_T He's my favorite artist!
But nobody scans his doujins/dakimakuras on good qualities. And I can't buy them either.
    That's such a shame!
You're so lucky. You have Urotan's Sasara Dakimakura too.

Oh, and this is a very good site! Congratulations!
It even has English versions of the posts! This is the first time I see a Japanese site with English translation. This is the best! Thanks so much for caring to write everything twice because of us who doesn't understand Japanese. <3
