Dolls Party 22

Dolls Party 22 took place today at Tokyo Big Sight. Spent a great day with comrades chatting while wandering around the halls looking at the lovely daughters and dealer stalls.

Going back in time to when the day started - decided to take Mirai Maid outfit with Ryomo. The new bag fits one Dollfie sitting down.

Train from Meguro to Osaki is Macross Frontier themed. Ita-Densha or Ita-Train. Still have not seen the movie which came out last month.

Reach Tokyo Big Sight at 10:00AM. This is the hall before everybody gets let in. There is a count down and applause - the halls slowly start to fill up with owners and their sons n daughters.

We grab a table and set up.

Today Mirai-Ryomo is working part time to plug the brand. I have two business cards - one for business only and one for general distribution. I probably should have Chun's maid Mirai on the general distro for the next print run.

Dolls Party (also known as Dollpa) is a really nice n relaxing event to be at. Not too crowded and an even mix of boys n girls. Stalls are positioned to leave a lot of room for people who carry their sons n daughters around. I saw a gentleman whispering to his daughter as he carried her around. It looked like he was asking her what clothes she wanted ^^;
How often do you talk to your son or daughter? ^^;

Looks like I cant be up on my feet for too long because of my spinal hernia - back hurts. Tried to take as much breaks as possible. There was a load to see and buy. The dealer stall photos will be in a separate post.

DD Mashiro get?!

First time to try out lunch at the Chinese place inside Big Sight. There is a nice view of the bay from the restaurant. Food is average but so is all the food at Tokyo Big Sight.

Back at headquarters. We is being the Kanto Twitter users group. At the moment there are about 30 of us and this is the third time we have gathered together. Still owe you photos from previous gatherings.

There are other Twitter doll groups around Japan and when we get together in Tokyo, folks in Kyushu would also get together on the same day and have a Skype relay to see whats going on at the other end - tis a lot of fun.

Am so glad to have discovered the world of dolls and also able to have met so many doll owners on the Internets. Doll adoption and interest seems to be growing a lot! Mikatan, Asanon, Ayako and Omura-san from Good Smile also came along today. Hmmmmmm ^^;

Before I forget - one of the guys showed us how he put magnets in the Dollfie hands - useful for holding up the ends of a skirt or accessories. Folks in Japan can find small magnets at 100 yen shops.

Its about 16:30. Time to pack up. Mirai-Ryomo wears a hat in transit.

Back at home with 4 new wigs. Some dealers recognized me and gave me stuff for 0 yen ^^;
