Singapore Food

My favourite food of all time is the Durian!!! Its got a pungent smell but its tasty. Danny, will you eat a Durian if you are forced to? Since you're a westerner and all....

One of Singapore's best attraction "Food". Because Singapore is a Multi-race society, we get to eat all kind of food from all over the world. What has Danny shown here is juz a small protion of it.

So lucky! I would like to go to singapore just for the food now.

How can you do this to me?! I would kill for all of that stuff! I miss Singaporean/Indonesian cuisine so much! *drool*

Ah~ you've visited Food Republic at Wisma Atria. ^^
Wide variety of food available just in that one place, but they are a little overpriced (by local standards).

I used to work part-time there, at the prata stall.
I was the only Chinese 'boy' there. And the smiling uncle's my friend. =P

Strangely enough, living here all my life and eating these same foods has made everything exceedingly boring... (^.^;)

LOL at last Pic of Hainan Chicken Rice which started an Internet food fight between Malaysia and Singapore on which it belongs to .

I have to say both because it was created along with Chili Crab in Malaysia which of course Singapore was once its state . So basically , it belongs to both countries .

I've heard there is alot of Halaal food in Singapore. Is this true?? I might be spending my 3rd year of university at NTU and I'm muslim, so I can only eat halaal meat.

singapore is good for variety but you have to admit malaysia is better in terms of quality. malaysia lays claim to alot of 'singapore' food anyway. most of it is not healthy though!

Haiz.. After I had been came to Japan for 7 months, I finally realized that Foods in Malaysia and Singapore is so good that you can never get tired of those outside foods.....

Food from Singapore looks tasty, though I am Vietnamese and most Asian foods will satisfy my palette. I will not eat a Durian though, that is one fruit I cannot eat.

The food looks exquisite! Definitely would love to know the names of some of those dishes and which restaurant they came from!

i just came back from malaysia day trip and this post just made me a lot more hungrier!

This post made me really hungry, but then I saw the Durian and lost my appetite. Good thing it was towards the end.

Ahh so much food, i remember didn't eat diner in there because there are no HALAL food near AFA, and the worst all shop was closed after anisong - -".

Where are all those places? Anyone can identify? Would be good to take note of those places and find them next time again. One of them looks like Lao Pa Sar?

It's morning, I wake up, find an article about food. Damn!
I prefer the look of the street foods rather than those in the restaurant. Even if i can't go to Singapore and eat that food (Just yet, you wait next year!) I can just run over to my friends place, his mother cooks some nice Singaporean food. ^^

Ah! It's durian! I've heard horror stories about it being smelly and having a weird and slimy texture. Not sure if I could eat it myself...

Have seen that starfruit here, =) called carambola but didn't know one can make juice with it. Haven't tried them also.
Some avocados too. Are they like the ones here? The ones here are greasy, for eating with bread or salad (not fruit salad).

hmm, I want to suggest a nice addon for the Dannychoo.com: I get the news through RSS. I see all the pictures and they load fast. Right now I was trying to type these the above comment but since the webpage takes time to load was a bit uncomfortable cos, every 3 s. the text space disappeared moving lower and lower. What about if the user reaches certain position in the whole screen and there is content to load, it doesn't disturb the user. doesn't matter if its the end of the page, the position reached doesn't change, just let the scroll bar grow.
Just my 2 cents. ;) And I'm going to try carambolas =)

Man, I do have an empty stomach but I wish I had all of the choices to eat. Damn the States and the processed foods. I would rather live in an area like that than here where it is more expensive to eat 'healthy' than eating fast foods.

Food! All of it looks great. I've never had any authentic Japanese Food before and, hell, it all look good.

I'm Singaporean, and even though I can confidentally say that I've tried most of what is available, it is still a quest for Singaporeans to find the best of each food. Where's the best chicken rice in Singapore? The spiciest Chilli Crab? How about the freshest sashimi? The most ambient International restaurant? Or simply the most traditional wanton mee?

It's a daily adventure!
