Dimension Diver

Dimension Diver - a circle that participates in most of the GK (Garage Kit) events in Japan including Wonder Festival and Treasure Festa.
Sculptor Daibadi is a member of Dimension Diver and recently kindly made this absolutely gorgeous kit of Aegis for me ^o^

The Aegis kit will be for sale at the next Wonder Festival in February in a limited batch.

Folks who are considering getting this kit will have to get their own stand and joints like these ones. The Figma stand will do fine. This Aegis came with a Robot Tamashii clear stand.

The non scale kit comes in 7 colors so all you need to do is add some panel lining with a Gundam marker and you are pretty much done.

Folks with an FG account can go over to Daibadi's account to see more of his work.

Lovely detailing. Not something that you can really carry around like a figma though as shes a bit delicate.

How many of you dabble in making figure kits?

The kit comes with parts for the default version of Aegis.

Compared with the figma version. Which do you prefer?

It's a nice kit, but i think I'll stick to something that's pre-built like the figma aegis.

I love how this kit looks I want one! Anyone going to WonFes willing to buy me one? I'd pay you back. ^^
It would be awesome if they also sculpted a matching Palladion persona.
For normal form, i'd probably prefer the figma simply because it has more of those smaller details, but otherwise it's the one by Dimension Diver.

Probably did sound jokingly, but I am serious. Of course it's still a while away but if you're around there at the time.

I didn't buy the Figma, and I'm quite a Figma fan boy, but I have to be honest the Dimension Diver version looks a lot better in this case, especially the hair/face.

Prefer Figma body and Dimension Diver head.

F*ck me! Can anyone tell me what would be the best way to acquire this in the U.S?

Dang, it's beautiful. I'd try and buy one, but I live in Canada. Apparently customs don't like animated girls enough to let them across the border.

XD Aegis Kawaii!!!
Though I think the Dimension Drive head looks better than the figma version but should be done with a different facial expression.
Anyone know where I can get the Aegis figma in Aust. beside using a credit card or pay pal?

customized things are almost always better than some mass produced item. Therefore, +1 for the Dimension Diver Aegis.

I actually like this kit more over the figma version, but if I were to purchase either one, it'd probably be the figma since its pre-built.

Usually, I prefer pre-built things; but I could make an exception in this case.

This kit version has bigger oppai ^_^
At first I though it's like a robot, I mean the helmet itself has 2 eyes, and the visor looks like its mouth, ahahah

OK< I'm a little envious of Aegis. I prefer Dimension Diver over figma but it's too much of a hassle to obtain one. Might see if I can find the Thanatos persona one tho...
I haven't done a figre similar to Aegis for a while. THe one I did was Fate T Harlawn from liquidstone. Was an interesting experience.
And yes, I'm one of the small group in the community who do my own figure kits. Currently working on Sheryl Nome

I like the joints on the Figma more, but this kit is really well done too, with the interchangeable parts and all.
University's Slave
I like that the Dimension Diver one has so many alternate parts, but overall I prefer the Figma version; she's much daintier and more graceful. On the other hand, I'm not familiar with the source material for Aegis at all, so the Figma version could be completely inaccurate for all I know.

I'm more of a fan for Figma. The kit does look very good though. Especially with all the extra attachments and accessories. ^__^

<- neck seems too far from body. waist-groin area joint and shoulder joint the same case. dunno if it's just me, but body width also seem too thin for that height, especially her shitapai-ribs area. and the ( . Y . ) is kinda too big for Aigis, not really complaining though :3
-> well, I'm just very disappointed in figma Aigis head/face
Rocketman
For the most part, everything on the garage kit looks better and is more accurate looking (especially the leg - the figma ones are just too skinny and not what Aegis looks like). The only thing the figma did better is the detailing on the torso.

Definitely the Figma is a lot closer to the Persona 3 character art, but that's not really a virtue for me as I never thought the art was all that attractive to begin with. The DD version stylizes a lot more...in some cases it doesn't work (like the torso, which looks terribly misproportioned), but in several cases it works really well (body armor, minigun gauntlet, cuter facesculpt).
I wish DD would just go pro already so maybe their stuff could be, y'know, accessible.
