Dimension Diver - a circle that participates in most of the GK (Garage Kit) events in Japan including Wonder Festival and Treasure Festa.
Sculptor Daibadi is a member of Dimension Diver and recently kindly made this absolutely gorgeous kit of Aegis for me ^o^

The Aegis kit will be for sale at the next Wonder Festival in February in a limited batch.

Img ID#83768 | Flickr | New tab | Mouseover = load notes.

Folks who are considering getting this kit will have to get their own stand and joints like these ones. The Figma stand will do fine. This Aegis came with a Robot Tamashii clear stand.

Img ID#83769 | Flickr | New tab | Mouseover = load notes.

The non scale kit comes in 7 colors so all you need to do is add some panel lining with a Gundam marker and you are pretty much done.

Folks with an FG account can go over to Daibadi's account to see more of his work.

Img ID#83771 | Flickr | New tab | Mouseover = load notes.

Lovely detailing. Not something that you can really carry around like a figma though as shes a bit delicate.

It's a nice kit, but i think I'll stick to something that's pre-built like the figma aegis.

I love how this kit looks I want one! Anyone going to WonFes willing to buy me one? I'd pay you back. ^^
It would be awesome if they also sculpted a matching Palladion persona.
For normal form, i'd probably prefer the figma simply because it has more of those smaller details, but otherwise it's the one by Dimension Diver.

OK< I'm a little envious of Aegis. I prefer Dimension Diver over figma but it's too much of a hassle to obtain one. Might see if I can find the Thanatos persona one tho...

I haven't done a figre similar to Aegis for a while. THe one I did was Fate T Harlawn from liquidstone. Was an interesting experience.

I like that the Dimension Diver one has so many alternate parts, but overall I prefer the Figma version; she's much daintier and more graceful. On the other hand, I'm not familiar with the source material for Aegis at all, so the Figma version could be completely inaccurate for all I know.

For the most part, everything on the garage kit looks better and is more accurate looking (especially the leg - the figma ones are just too skinny and not what Aegis looks like). The only thing the figma did better is the detailing on the torso.

Definitely the Figma is a lot closer to the Persona 3 character art, but that's not really a virtue for me as I never thought the art was all that attractive to begin with. The DD version stylizes a lot more...in some cases it doesn't work (like the torso, which looks terribly misproportioned), but in several cases it works really well (body armor, minigun gauntlet, cuter facesculpt).

I wish DD would just go pro already so maybe their stuff could be, y'know, accessible.
