Took these photos a few days ago and since then another huge batch of samples arrived - looks like sample levels are increasing as the business grows ^^;

 title=

Kotobukiya Asuka - some of you have won this as your room was in the Otacool book - will announce during next week.

 title=

Yukino Sakurai from Candy Boy. Saw bits of it but didn't get round to watching all of the yuri action. How was it?

 title=

Huge Tsukasa and Fate.

 title=

More books from J-List.

 title=

Bayonetta - a truly awesome game. Love the in game music and the amount of combo moves and weapons make it a joy to play. The only downer is that there is no install option meaning that you get "Loading..." a lot which can get annoying but you get to practice those combos while bits of it load.

 title=

The ones from Amazon came with a pre-order exclusive CD which contains some soundtracks from the game.
Folks in Japan can get their copy from Amazon but it looks like it went up 2,000 yen since I got it - its currently 8,400 yen.

 title=

A load of figma's and nendoroids in this batch - and then some more came over the weekend ^^;

 title=

1/48 W.H.A.M.! ARL-99 Assault Airborne Labor - available from HLJ for 14,800 yen. Tis a light model and feels like a freshly built kit.
Backpack and thrusters attach to the body with magnets. Joints are not made of cloth which one would probably expect for the price tag.
Still a lovely mecha though.

 title=

Love the design of this mecha especially the flaps on the legs. Feel like sitting down to watch some retro Patlabor now.

 title=

Idolmaster Keyrings from Good Smile.

 title=

This time round J-List stock "Japanese Sword Girls" - an illustration book full of moesome girls wielding mostly samurai swords.

 title=

Going to have a look at some of my faves from the book.

 title=

Love this outfit.

 title=

Nice shitapai and pantsu.

 title=

Looks like Saber Alter.

 title=

The illustration book is currently available from J-List for 34 USD.

 title=

The book also talks in depth about the blades for each type of samurai sword - they may look all the same but are very different.

 title=

J-List also sent a rather nice Kaguya-hime illustration book too.

 title=

Includes some pai for dessert. Available from J-List for 28.50 USD.

Anything from this batch tickle your fancy?

I've heard that the 360 version looks better and runs much smoother than the PS3 version, so I'll add that to the list of reasons I'm glad I have a 360.

Have GSC's Kanade and Yukino on their way to me now, hope they don't get stuck in customs for too long. Adore "Candy Boy", it was an amazing yuri series that didn't get all the attention and merit it deserved. Bought the original Japanese DVD's to be able to enjoy it to the fullest in great video quality.

"Candy Boy" was an excellent yuri series, it's brief run easily up to par with other recent shows like "Aoi Hana". Couldn't recommend it enough.

Those two artbooks look nice, will have to check them out.

Got Aegis on preorder already but I'm dying to get my hands on Bayonetta. The 360 version tho. The PS3 version is an embarassment!!

Poor resolution, lower details, choppy framerate and assorted other issues means that I can't ignore them, like I sometimes do so I will be torturing my hands by playing on the 360 pad.

Candy Boy is really good. If you're looking for hardcore yuri, you won't find it there. It's mostly hand holding and the sisters talking about how much they love each other. But I liked it a lot that I went and bought the Yukino and Kanade figures off of HLJ.

Speaking of figures, looking at your pile, I see a lot of stuff I bought as well, like the Lucky Star figmas and the two nendos. Also, when you finish Bayonetta, I recommend you try Uncharted and Uncharted 2, they're both really amazing games. Not sure about the JP PSN, but you can find an Uncharted demo on the US PSN if you wanna try before you buy.

I started to watch Candy Boy but was a little bored. Thought Aoi Hana was more interesting.

Lucky you! Nice getting samples! I've started getting into art books and that looks like a nice one.

Was wondering how the Petite Death Note Nendodroid were, if it was worth trying to get L. And tiny Fate, so cute!

Is Good Smile putting out more Figma and Nendodroid now? Seems like it. Nice batch!

It's good that the anime business is growing in Japan. American sales are quite the contrary since it isn't something that is highly popularized. I blame it on the cultural barriers. Bayonetta is seems like a game I would get when it comes out in the US in 2010, after playing the demo.
