An update on what I'm doing with Facebook. I've hit my 5000 friend limit and Facebook wont let me add anymore but I have over 1000 friend requests waiting in the wings ToT.
Gave MySpace a whirl but didn't really get into it. Do you use both and if so which do you prefer?
As I cant add any more friends, I've resorted to using what FaceBook call "Fan Pages." - I say "resort to" because I'm not too keen on the naming. I would prefer "Reader Pages" or something else. > Danny Choo Fan Page.
Fan Pages can have zillions of readers which will enable me to keep in touch with more of you.
Also, Fan Pages allow you to converse and start discussions with other readers across the world or in your region. You can also post your fanart there too.
My Twitter updates are fed into the Fan Page so you can keep yourself in the loop with what I'm up to.
Have managed to make a custom tab in FaceBook which uses FBML (FaceBook Markup Language). Will be beefing up up as I learn more.

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.
If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.
If you are a regular reader then this message will probably annoy you each time - hide it forever.

Fan pages are nice since they actually show up in the normal feed while updates to groups don't. That said, I would notice something you post to twitter before I'd notice it on FB since I tend to read twitter updates more often.

I much prefer FaceBook to MySpace because it is easy to communicate with people and you can see what your friend wrote on your wall whilst posting a reply so, that you don't have to go backwards and forwards between pages. They may have changed that in MySpace now though. Also another reason why I prefer FaceBook over MySpace is that the pages are relatively clean for everyones page unlike MySpace where you can come across pages where you can barely read the text =\.

I like facebook much better than myspace. In fact, I got rid of my myspace profile about two months ago because I hardly used it when I have a nice facebook profile. Facebook, in my opinion, is a much easier website to manage and I like its setup more than myspace.

I have both Myspace and Facebook. Got a Myspace page first then Facebook later. I now like Facebook more. It just connects you better with your friends and what you're following. Myspace... is just not very useful anymore.

I actually got in as a friend of Danny, but will look into fanship as well. Most of my FB visiting is done early in the day, and occasional other random times. I don't use it much, other than for a few of the contests (Bejeweled Blitz. Hey, I'll play a game other people I know are playing to win a free laptop with every PopCap game on it.) or to expand my intellect (Word Challenge and Lexilous are good for that.)

There is so much spam on Facebook that even though I have an account, I no longer use it. I don't want furry internet pets, garden plants and to know what movie quiz randoms have taken.
When Facebook returns to just being about actual PEOPLE and their interests, I'll go back.

I have a myspace page but am thinking of getting rid of it and switching to Facebook. Reason being, Facebook is allowed on government computers and even encouraged. This was not always the case. Guess they are trying to improve the quality of life on board the ship.
My Facebook page was not really serious when I made it. I'm not really Andrew Wiggin ^^; , but I'll see about getting into it more. BTW, I think I am still registered as a friend on your facebook DC. I'll try and use it more, haven't logged in in ages.

...and here I thought I'd been shunned. Honestly, I didn't even get into Facebook until recently. Not really much value in it for me. I don't appreciate it when people just send friend requests in order to collect me like a trading card. I have some small hopes for networking through Facebook, but I'm not holding my breath.
