A Thai dating sim called Re Angel has received so much support from Japanese gamers that they recently released a Japanese version of the game. If your Japanese skills are a wee bit better than your Thai then you may want to give the trial version a whirl.

The studio goes on to say that they aim to make dating sims without any ero content.

PV for the game below.

Folks at Itai News go on to say how having a game full of characters with big eyes is not trendy anymore and that many Japanese gamers now prefer small eyes.

And you can see all the characters on this page.

An interesting comparison that the 2chers make is the comparison between dating simulations from different countries. For example, here we have Thai...

Korea...

China...

Taiwan...

...and America...
Wanna make out?
^^;

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

    Korea one looks nice. US one makes me cringe.

    However, this is mainly just one artist. I'm sure there are some adept American artists. Would Katawa Shoujo be considered American since it's English, or is it a hybrid due to illustrations being outsourced? A better question should be how do the scenarios differ.

    The Korean/Thai ones are nice however. But I prefer smaller to normal sized "eyes" on my ero/dating sim gals.
