Bery nice! Not as epic as the 1:1 Gundam (I was there...) but still, very cool non-the-less. Nippon banzai!

Japan sure has a lot of spare funds... But can't blame them for paying tribute to their renown Manga artist.
The lady to the furthest left in the photo looks like she's thinking, "Why do I have to wear this silly thing on my head?", lol. Otherwise, beautiful clothing.

I like all classical things in general, but I think I prefer the 1:1 Gundam over this.
Oh, Japan, you can build the most amazing things sometimes. I still prefer RX-78, though.

Being a Gundam fan I think this Tetsujin is not really a beautiful robot... but after I see the big statue of it like this... I guess it's quite unique anyway...

I think it's smaller then the Gundam in scale, but still it's cool to be looking up at mecha in real life.

Exactly like the 1963 Tetsujin as seen on the YT vids.
This is really old school, contemporaneous with Astroboy and Speed Racer I believe.
I hope this one will be permanent ;)

Looks pretty cool but I don't think I would get the same feelings of excitement and power as I got when I saw the Gundam in person. Mostly because the Gundam looked like it could be real and functional but Tetsujin 28 looks kind of cheesy. I still will see if I can go see it while I am still in Japan, but I miss the Gundam....
An interesting thing I noticed while on shore patrol a few days back in Yokosuka. One of the restaurants on blue street has a human sized statue of Tetsujin 28. I saw it earlier but had no idea what it was. Now I know.

Will this one be slightly more permanent than the Gundam? I kind of liked the Gundam better...(^_^)
Student
I would love to live in that building across from the Tetsujin, waking up every day to see it in that pose outside my window..^^
I liked the gundam statue...why did they take it down -_-" gonna miss it
