Anime Cars

Cars which are plastered with anime or game characters are known as Itasha. Origins of the naming can be read in this previous post.

Last weekend a huge Itasha show took place in Odaiba. I couldn't make it but comrade Sensei did go along to take a load of pics - check out his burogu for more pics.

You can also check out the vids below of what went on at the show.

And you can see photos that I took at a previous event in the Itasha Show photo article.

Cant wait to do my own car up like this one day ^o^

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.
If you are a regular reader then this message will probably annoy you each time - hide it forever.

My friend said he saw a lucky star itasha, in California. Man he was so lucky... There aren't a lot of itashas here, but sometimes people hang dolls of hello kitty or other dolls on their back bumper... gets really dirty, dunno why people do that.

One time, in Yokosuka, I saw a Rozen Maiden Itasha. Other then that, I've only seen them at conventions or sometimes driving through Akihabara.

Love the Nanoha/Fate itasha. When I get back home, I might put an anime plush or two near my back window. Can't do the stickers because I don't have a garage and stickers just peel off with the rain and what not.
