This must be the biggest loot I've seen so far - all picked up by DC member Rin on his 27 day trip to Japan.

 title=

Some blurb from Rin below regarding his loot. You can also check out his burogu entry to see more photos and detailed descriptions.

After 5 days of writing and taking pictures of my Japan loot post, I'm finally done. During my 27 days in Japan, I spent quite a bit on my loot. I think I overdid it a bit for this loot. I can't even fit all my loot in one photo. There is that much stuff in my loot. Compared to last years Japan loot, this loot totally at least doubles it.
I did go all out and pretty much let loose in terms of shopping. I thought to myself when shopping, when is the next time I come back to Japan. The next time could be a really long time away. Who knows when I would be back in the land of the otaku.

My loot contains:
Figures - 50
Model Kits - 6
DVDs - 28
CDs - 52
Dakimakura - 10
Manga - 52
Games and Game Accessories - 13
Magazines - 6
Monthly Manga - 3
Artbooks - 27
Wallscrolls - 7
Posters - 24
Doujinshi - 87
Plushie - 6
Dollfie - 1

For people who are wondering how I did I bring all this home, the answer is simple. I shipped them home in 28 boxes.
Some may wonder how much I spent on the trip...
Do you really want to know...
Hold your breath ~

The total amount I spent on my loot in Japan is 878928yen
Yes, it is a lot of money. Well, I do work for my money and saved up a lot for this trip.

 title=

And congrats on the daughter! Its great to see so many DC readers adopting. Hope to see photos of Rin's daughter under the Dollfie category at figure.fm

Seriously though, most impressive. You bought more loot in your trip to Japan then I have in my 2 years here. The most impressive loot I have ever seen for sure. Love the Touhou stuff too. Saw that Aya wallscroll advertised in Tora no Ana a while back. Did you buy it at White Canvas?

Also, going to look for that Nanoha the Movie wallscroll on the left this weekend in Akiba. Did you buy it at Gamers, Animate, or somewhere else if you don't mind me asking?

What you have collected in a month is equivalent or more than some otaku collect in their career of being an otaku, or at least the first few years of it.

I'd personally spent that kind of money on making the trip more memorable, but then again I'm not sure what you 'did', so it might have been just as memorable.

That's really quite a huge shopping spree, your impressive loots on a single trip had overshadowed every loot posts in DC. Now we shall crown you the King of Loots, LOL!

Since you'd worked hard to accumulate those money you'd spent, you should feel more satisfied ^o^

    Wow. That is a lot of stuff. I spent quite a bit when I went to Japan last month and see that you got the same cups from the ToLoveRu raffle. I won Lala (A), the blue set of cups, and a plushie Lala. Took me a while to figure out what do initially as I never saw something like this before (and the guy banging the box for the tickets at Sunkus didn't help the matter until a salaryman helped me figure it out :)) Which store did you go to find the Tony Taka books? Maybe I missed it when I went to Melon Books. The sheer amount of people there was amazing x.x;

but I think that's kinda going way overboard. I'm very picky and only buy what I really want, I always set myself a budget of spending. If I had 880,000yen, I'd probably only end up spending about 1/3 of that lol.

Congrats on your epic pilgrimage! I really should save up more for my future trip to the Holy Land.
On my first trip to Japan, I went to Akiba for a short while but was really holding back on my spending. When I got back home I really regretted not going all out, not knowing when I'll be able to make another visit there. So I think all your money must have been well spent.
Wonder how hard it is to organise the shipping from Japan, not being able to speak Japanese fluently. Mind sharing your experience or tips? Also wondering how you packed the posters for shipping, the Kara no Kyoukai posters look gorgeous!

I bow to you sir, and commend you on your exquisite taste. Lots of stuff I have that I adore, and some that I would love to have.

On a side not, this is EXACLY why I have second thought abour going to Japan. Knowing how much I spend online as it is, and even it may not be as big a loot as our comrade here got, but I would definitely overspend on so much stuff I have in mind. Time to get a 3rd credit card it seems....

All in all, muchas felicitaciones on a very very nice loot. Hopefully we'll see more of it soon ^^. /bow

Way to go DC member Rin!!! Now that is the way to do it, to shop Japan. This must have been one of the most awesome 27 days of your life. Hope you got to tour all the historic areas too!! Now how are you going to expand your house so each of the Anime girls gets their own room????? ;D

Really is the way to go stay a month at least in Japan to make the trip worth it.
