PS3 Slim Launch

Already have one (ps2 compatible) and maybe will get another one because my bro is always using it with his friends ^^; . The first guy from the commercial scares me O.O

Won't be getting one till after 2 months XD but i got a post that is a good deal to those who can shop online for a ps3. Will post them this saturday (GMT+8)

mmm I'm planning to have both 360 and PS3(not slim version) since it can play live, its boring if nobody play with you.

I guess the reason why there are so little at the launch were because everyone else probably already owns one.. ^^'
I'm still deciding whether I should save up for one.. The free online play and built in wifi sounds very tempting.

I already have a PS3 fatboy, but the lower power consumption of the PS3 Slim intrigues me, it draws less than half the power of the fat PS3. Would be nice to cut down on my electric bill.

I got my ps3 slim on the September 1st release over here. Its also my first Sony game console.
I like the photo gallery, and the 3d Earth on the visual player when playing music. The Internet browser is nice for a console;can view youtube vids and browses via google, but I'll stick mainly to my computer. Puchi blurbs don't work on it either.

My first game playing on it is BlazBlue. Its so much fun!

Still can't afford one. Damn down economy, killing my chances at a crap job to hold me over...

I don't have a PS3 at this point, but might get one in a couple months to play FFXIII Vs. Will still play FFXIII on the 360, though...

Firmware 3.00 is out as well, its pretty neat, did quite a bit of things.

I hope I can get one soon, since I don't have any of these 360s nor PS3s and I would like also to have a BD player.

lol i wonder if it was even worth the costs to even produce the ps3 slim... doesn't look like it's popular at all... In Australia, there was practically no hype for the release of it.
Haven't seen any advertisements or CMs for it yet.

Brought mine a few months before the slim release and I'm glad I did.
Preferred the gloss finish than matt.

This is what i've been waiting for, a cheaper PS3. I can finally play Valkyria Chronicles, hurray!

This might actually encourage me to get one, mostly because I still need to make the jump to the next generation of consoles. Of course, the lack of titles is still an issue since I don't play much beyond RPGs and the online play for fighting games is still not as good as the Xbox, but with a lower price point and better hardware, it might very well be worth it.

Sense the slim is coming out; will the older PS3 get a price cut too? Debating with one to buy.

My PS3 is one of the more recent ones so its pretty much identical to the slim (spec wise), lack of ps2 backward compatibility sucks >.<

It makes sense that a new one would be popular, but not as popular as a brand new console. Sucks for my friend who bought a new PS3 recently.

Too bad Sony Singapore will only get the PS3 Slim with official Sony warranty at the end of this month, really damn slow -____-

I'm still holding on to my PS2 slim... probably for some of you that is "old school" but I still love it coz I still play all those old games including Suikoden 2 from PS One era and of coz few titles of PS2 itself... many PS One games still playable on my PS2 slim... but really, only Suikoden 2 is the one I love the most.

I'm probably going to get it on Christmas. I don't have enough fund for now. (T_T)

Just bought myself a PS3 last month and now the cheaper and bigger capacity slim version released...

I'm seriously thinking of getting one because of games like Heavy Rain, FFXIII and Tales of Vesperia remake. Still quite expensive though.

I heard that the psp is region free? Is the Ps3 region free too, or am I just imagining things?

I love the size of the Queue for the slim compaired to the original. :P

I have a Ps3 40GB and I;m happy with it ^_^ , because its GLossier , Shinier and Bulkier than The PS3 Slim .

TO me PS3 slim looks so out of touch , it like PS2 Slim all over again

PC gaming forever. They seem to have so much more freedom than consoles- I find controllers can be limiting. Consoles are good for certain types of games though, especially if you have friends at your house.

I've been wanting to buy a PS3 forever but sadly it'll have to wait until later this year. (T_T)

i have one already and not planning to buy this one. maybe take one later if some final fantay XII x PS3 bundle will be released.

I want to get a PS3 with PS2 compatibility, since my PS2 died sometime this spring. But i guess i could live without it now since they're remaking most of the good rpgs onto the psp anyways, and thankfully that hasnt broken yet after being dropped like a milliion times lol.

I'd love to get a PS3, if not only for the BD drive but I'd also need an HD tv to use with it, and that'd be too expensive now alas.

The new PS3 may be more space-saving, but I still prefer the old PS3's appearance...the black on the new one is rather matt and dull instead of shiny and classy looking...

I picked up a slim the other day. I'm a bit disappointed about the lack of PS2 backwards compatability, especially as the new PS3 is now sitting directly on top of my top-loading PS2 slim, but for those of us who weren't lucky enough to grab a PS3 earlier on, the slim seems like a pretty good deal. As for appearance, I'm happy with the matte finish. It meant less finger-prints to clean off after I'd set everything up.

Alos, not exclusive to the slim, but I was pleased to discover that in about four clicks I could set up media-sharing with Windows 7 and send all my desktop wallpapers wirelessly to my PS3. All-in-all, I'm quite happy with the new console.

Wow... has it been 3 years since the PS3 came out?? Time sure flies. I didn't get it on launch, but I did get it for half price from someone who barely played it and sold it to me. Right now it's one of the mostly used console for me XD

A lot of the people pre-ordered the system from what I hear.

I have the first 60GB edition and I can't beleive used one are selling at 55,000Yen.

us queuing outside shops so they are seen only at the very first launch of the iPhone. here in Italy this playstation came with absolutely no fanfare.
I wonder how will the different apartments, the weight and size. Feltrinelli (a network that sells books and the media) has to be the new the old the same price, 299 €.
This way people will think that is just what the aesthetic changes.
