If you cant afford or easily get hold of a dakimakura then how about downloading the 10MB version of this illustration of Kotone Kusuhara from Moe Imouto.

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

    And do what? Print it out on a computer in several sheets and pin it together on a bed spread?

    I'd rather just buy the printed sheet. It is nice, indeed!

      There are Iron-on t-shirt print papers.
      You print using your normal ink jet printer. Place the paper on any fabric (well most fabrics), and iron away~

      Only problem is they come in A4 sheets....
      ... so you'll have to place 5 in a row to cover 150cm ^^;;;;

      Oh and 2-3 columns! since it's 50cm wide!

      Too expensive! Just buy a real one!

    If you go to http://moe.imouto.org/post (Moe Imouto post main) and search for dakimakura you will find even more of them. Alot of them have not been labeled dakimakura though, so if you want to find `em all your gonna need to go through all 1309 pages... So far I managed to find 104 usable dakimakura pics there (100 pages down, 1209 to go). Now all I need is to find a shop that can print them.

    I`m not in a hurry though, as I own 5 dakimakura already....
    Totalling a sick 437.02 Euro`s (or about $685.94), exorbitant shipping prices and covers included.

    As much as I'd like to make my own dakimakura, I'm living with my mother and brother right now, so I'm pretty sure they won't appreciate me having one at home even though I'll only be using it for hugging. Perhaps I'll give it a go once I get my own place sometime in the future.

    Yep! I got a couple dakimakuras back in Taiwan and the price is crazzy!
    Ranging from 3000 TWD (100 USD) all the way up to 6000 TWD (200 USD)!
    Unless you're a heavy in to dakimakuras, it's better to save your money for something else.
