GSC had quite a few releases this month and here is the latest batch of samples. My fave being Mushi Hime.
See the closeups at figure.fm.

BTW, the photo image widths at figure.fm are 900px. Widths on dannychoo.com are 800px. I may have the widths up to 990 similar to the format at Shibuya246 (check out his amazing Gundam Photos).
Does your browser choke on many images of that size?
If your browser can take it then the images for dannychoo.com will be upgraded to 900px+

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.
If you are a regular reader then this message will probably annoy you each time - hide it forever.

Ah, the sleeping Miku, but I prefer the glowing expression she had in the previous version. As for the images, maybe registered users can choose between a lite mode and a full mode. The lite mode would have smaller image sizes, etc. which would be more optimal for viewing on netbooks and the like.

I think my favorite among those is the Moka, like most others.

As for the pics, I have no problem loading. You can go even larger!
Kind of tangential, but the grey thing at the bottom that comes up is kind of annoying, because that, combined with the browser and a widescreen monitor, makes my the viewing screen so small.. I know you can get rid of it by clicking an option that makes go away forever, but I clear cache and cookies a lot (like everyday...) so yea... But that's just my personal opinion.

I have a fairly decent resolution size so either DC.com or figure.fm's dimensions are fantastic for me. Even over 1000px width is fine with me. No stretch of the entire page, either, so. Also, loading time is pretty much like any other page anywhere else I go to so, yeah, no problems whatsoever here. ^^

Very tempted with Moka and Reco. Will lurk to see if I can get either for a nice deal since they are not on my priority list but both are quite lovely.

One of the things I love about Opera is its 'fit to width' option which I've had switched on for years. Any image/webpage that is wider than my monitor will automatically get scaled down. I would be surprised if all the other popular browsers don't also have a feature like this too?

My monitor's 1680px wide, with about 1100-1400px for the body of webpages. Bring on the big photos!

Could you perhaps include something to let people scale images though? A profile setting perhaps because auto-detecting that stuff always seems to bugger up when you resize the window.

No problem viewing it 990px, but I'd prefer it the way it is to tell the truth. Pictures over at figure.fm already make it feel like a slideshow, which, admittedly, works there. But here...well, I feel I've come to expect more than just photos when it comes to DC posts, and to make the picture that big just makes the text look smaller in comparison.
