I was wondering (if it's not too much trouble) if you could write a post on Tokyo's subways/trains. I will be visiting Tokyo and Kyoto next year with my friends and my biggest fear is riding on the subways/trains. As Tokyo's subway/train system is very extensive, are there tips on how not to ride the wrong train? Any rules?

Also, were can we get cheap meals? Below 500yen (if that's possible). We are on a budget.
