A ton of amazing rooms have been submitted over at figure.fm for the Otacool book by Kotobukiya. Will be highlighting them over the next few weeks but wanted to feature the room of Chibichibiusa who has a most interesting room filled with noticeably Sailor Moon plushies and a load of Dollfie daughters!

Some nitty gritty on Chibichibiusa below:-

• Name (or nick name) : Julie (Chibichibiusa)
• Age : 27
• How many years you have been an otaku : more than 10 years!
• Nationality : Canadian
• Outline of your collection : UFO catcher plushies, Dollfie Dream & 1/6 dollfie type dolls, anime DVDs, manga & artbooks, anime figures and Sailormoon collectibles.
• How much your collection cost : Unknown...
• Your fave item : It’s too hard to choose only one. I really adore my Sailor Chibichibi moon plushie and my Lina Inverse figure, but I love everything in my collection dearly.
• Your website address : http://www.flickr.com/photos/dollfiedreams/
• Anything else you want to say : I hope you enjoy my room ♥

See more pics at figure.fm and check out her Flickr too.

If you want to have photos of your room profiled in a book by Kotobukiya and have the chance of winning some Kotobukiya goodies at the same time then just get along to figure.fm and submit photos of your room - registration is painless!

You can see 59 rooms submitted so far at the Kotobukiya Otacool site.

Traffic on figure.fm has really taken off and will be moving it to a more powerful server this week - you may have noticed it going down for a few minutes.
Also will reveal the question for round 2 for the "3 figure giveaway" tomorrow - 513 comments on that post alone ^^;

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.

          I was a boy that watched Sailor Moon. I liked the humor. I didn't even know Dragonball existed back then.

          Of course I am talking about when I was still in HK.

        Yes, Sailor Moon's what actually got me into Anime in the first place, and still remains my favorite series to this day. (And the only one I've watched all the way through multiple times.) Sure, I watched all the DBZ eps on CN back in the day, but then again, I pretty much made it a point to watch most of the anime on CN I could back when I still had cable a few years ago. n.n;

      My memory of it is pretty vague; was roughly 2-5 when I watched it, but I do remember that it was quite similar to Power Rangers or Super Sentai, only with a theme centralized about 'love', rather than the usual nonsense about 'justice'.

      It's pretty funny and cute, as long as you don't take it too seriously. My favorite one is Sailor Stars, try a few episodes and you'll see if you like the kind of humour.

      Oh and I suggest avoiding the english dub as it's way tooo edited and censored to be suitable for 8 years old girls O_o

    How much money does that woman have?! Is she just an extremely high income earner? If you owned a room like that wouldn't you be scared of a single fire one day burning everything to crisp?? Moreso, how would you expect to get laid with a bedroom like that?

      I have an average income, I guess because I don't spend as much money on expensive brand name clothes and purses and shoes and I drive a Mazda 94 lol I have more money to spend on my hobby. . I don't want to make it sound like I only buy cheap stuff Wal-mart either lol but I guess I'm pretty reasonable in my other spendings. A fire would majorly suck... but I guess the odds are very low. I got the giant Chobits Atashi plush at an anime convention in Toronto (I think it was Anime North) a few years back. The tag says it's made by Pioneer. You might be able to find it online.

    Dang, that's alot of plushies and Dollfies. Congrats!

    Never watched an episode of Sailor Moon. Where I grew up, they would call you "you know" if you watched this. Grew up in the South USA.

    When I saw the title I was reminded of this time. ^^; In bootcamp, someone told me that they joined the Navy because the uniforms reminded him of the "cute Sailor suits" that Sailor Moon wore; especially the white ones. ^^; He was going to be a "medic" with the Marines. I hope he'll be okay. ^^;

      I don't think anybody is stuffing their room only for the purpose of being in the book. This is how some of our rooms are after years of collecting, collecting by itself can be a hobby. You may find it looks too crowded, but some people with a lot of anime collectibles are dealing with limited space for displaying their stuff. It's a dilemma between getting new stuff you like and using up more space. I think the main purposes of the book is to showcase people's collections, it doesn't matter if the room is packed or not.

    My next door neighbor's kid was bit time into Sailor Moon. As I wasn't, I'd give her Mother (who waited at the same bus stop each morning, any Sailor Moon stuff I'd end up with along the way.

    Said daughter is now in her early twenties, engaged, and taking Japanese Language courses in University. She even when to Japan for two weeks on an exchange trip. (I'm jealous )

    Ottawa U used to have a monthly anime night that I'd go to. One night, they had arranged to have the English VA's in for a Q&A session after one of the movies. The VA for Luna was a real hoot, and the VA for one of the villains was shocked that her character was in fact a male. (character was the blond Bishonen that in the NA Version was made to be female. (can't have that Yaoi stuff on a children's program.) :)

      I used to have this goal way back then to own all the original UFO catcher plushies of Sailormoon ever made by Banpresto. The main Banpresto Sailormoon plush series contains 126 items in total and I currently own 92 of them, so I reached nearly 75% completion lol. Banpresto also made a bunch of special sailormoon UFO catcher series like the mini plushie keychains collection, the slippers collection, and other odd stuff like pajama bags and towel hangers sailor moon plushies, the list goes on lol. I had fun times looking for these things on ebay.

    I used to watch it, but I didn't like the circus saga or anything after so I stopped watching it =/ Wish I could read the manga, but I can't find a good distribution of it [whether online or off]. I feel it was kinda spoiled by getting picked up so early in the anime explosion.

    Love the BJDs~ Wouldn't mind carting the entire bookshelves for my own, hehe~

        I'm pretty much over Sailor Moon, otherwise I'd give the newer arcs a go [if I could find a copy of the episodes xD;]. I still prefer reading manga over watching anime, so I might like it better in that format.

        I wasn't thinking about the plushies (although they are a very impressive collection, I think the most I collected was $1 stickers lol), more about all the dollfies you have, that's a lot! Have you ever thought of buying or making a sailor scout dollfie? that would be amazing, I'd pay for one (Jupiter yesmmm~), just next to Saber.

        btw is that you with the pink frilly dress? or a relative? must say she (you?) looks very cute!

          Oh yes the dollfies are surely a "luxury" spending, but it's like one of the only luxuries I allow myself to buy so I guess it's ok lol. I started collecting them almost 5 years ago, and they used to be more in the $300$-$400 price range when I started collecting, not in the $500-$900 like they are now! (but now they are much better quality overall)
          I did find and buy a Sailor Saturn dollfie dress, and modified my DD Estel's face paint to look a bit like Saturn so I have a Sailor Saturn-like dollfie! I change her clothes from time to time though so the sailor outfit is not in the pic, she's wearing a white dress there. Maybe next time I'll try to post it.

          Yes it's me in the dress, we were asked to post our picture for the contest at figure.fm *super shy* lol. Thanks for the compliment! ^^

            Ahhh I see, at a 300-400 range they are more reasonable (the gokin tachikoma is around 200, and I got that one so...). If you have any free time in the future, could you post a pic of your Sailor Saturn? (another of my favourite sailors!) of course you don't need to feel obligated, but if there is any chance in the future, I'd love to see her! I hope I'm not imposing ^^U

            NO WAY THAT'S YOU?? you look so young!! I read around up there you're 27? wow you take care of yourself very well, I would've sworn you were at most 21! (maybe it's the dress? btw love your dollfie counterpart) Man, I look so old lol XD

    Okay, I actually have more to say. n.n;
    That's a very nice collection there, wish I had more of those plushies. n.n
    Also, for those that are wondering, the "posters" on the wall in the first page are, IIRC, the pages from a Sailor Moon wall calendar from several years ago. The actual calendar part is in the white square at the bottom of each page. n.n
    I really should post some pics of my room, but it's sooooo messy right now. ^^;

      You got these calendars too? They were great, too bad they only made them for 3 consecutive years. I got the first one as well, but it got kind of ripped up here and there from being displayed too low on the wall for a long time, so I took it off and packed it away to a safe place. I guess I could have spread it over the ceiling like others are doing, but I would need a ladder and it would be a big hassle to do. Congradulations to people who go to the trouble of putting posters all over their ceiling.

      Take some pics when you got your room cleaned! hehe.

        Yeah, I got them, but I dunno where they are now. ^^; I think I may have given them away to a fellow Sailor Moon fan, as I didn't really have anywhere to display them once the year was up and I needed that space on my wall for the next year's calendar.
