7pm in Tokyo - heading out for dindins and evening walk. Rainy season is officially over and the heat is starting to turn up giving a humid feeling.
We've removed the carpet in the living room as we do every summer and brought out the straw mats that we use on our futons.

We first relocated to Japan in the Summer so the sounds, smells and temperature always brings back that fresh feeling and thought in my mind - "I made it to Japan. I love it here!"

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.
If you are a regular reader then this message will probably annoy you each time - hide it forever.

For some reason this year, our rainy season is continuing even though it's mid July. We're still waiting for those high summer temps. Well at least everything is green and not brown like it usually is.

If there's something I don't like about the summer, it would have to be the humidity. Thankfully, Philippine summers are more on the dry side, but the heat can be too much at times.

The worst part is when you have to open a car that has been parked in the sun for hours. You could probably add another 5-10 degrees. I miss June when it was relatively cool.

Much more damn humid in the caribbean in a rainy afternoon, when the sun comes out after a wet noot, with temperatures plunging up towards 50C

Every once in a while, when I go back and visit alot of the same places that I had previously visited, I harken back to the very first trip that I made to Japan. It reminded me of how new and exciting every thing looked.

I'm sitting here in San Francisco shrouded in fog. I wouldn't mind some hot weather for a change. When we do get the really warm weather here everyone is soooo happy, because it's rather uncommon.

Very much agreed. But I think that Japan in August might just beat Houston in humidity and overall uncomfortableness.

In my travels, the most humid place I ever been to was Cambodia and Thailand. I drank over 2 litters of water and was still so dehydrated that I almost fell out. Was wearing everything I drank. lol

Thailand wasn't that bad for me when I went a week ago. o_O I was sweating, yes, but I drank much less water than that. What were you doing?

between the two, i would rather have hot season. at least that can be mitigated by my trusty electric fan. can't say the same for a cold weather that usually follows after a downpour...

Exactly the right moment to catch some shut eye.
