Tenrou Kibagami

Would like to say thanks to member Tenrou Kibagami who has made his 1000th post which you can gander through here.

Tenrou has contributed immensely to the community here at DC. I thank him and will miss his posts - especially The Scenario and his selection of 2D Girls - 505 of them under his name in the 2D Girls category ^^;

Wifey and I spoke about going to Hawaii in August or September so hope to catch up with him if he is not too busy. Is there a rainy season in Hawaii? When is the best time to go? Can I get a tour of the base? ^^;

Original text from tenrou below.#q#Tenrou, here. This is it, my official 1,000th post! ^_^

Granted, I’ve had a few hijacked and eaten in the past, so this is actually a little over 1,000, but since this one was the first to reach this level on the “Your News Items” counter, I’m counting it. ^^

I’ve experienced so many things over 1,000 articles. For one, there are a lot of great people from all ages and walks of life that visit DC.com. From around the world, I’ve found people that are passionate about the same hobbies I am. You’ve gone through or are going through the same experiences I have. Many of you quest for knowledge, love, and general life in similar fashion to me.

After 130+ “The Scenario” posts, I’ve been witness to the boundless imaginations of DC members (and most of you have ecchi imaginations, by the way). ^^;

After 174 Chibi Miku-san posts (plus a Haku-nee Special…all courtesy of artist Minami), I’ve seen how members of our community can enjoy innocent fun and laughter, even when our personal lives may not be going as well as we’d like.

We’ve shared Vocaloid music, 2D girls, and countless articles that have come and gone. We’ve passed wisdom to one another, debated controversial issues, and shared aspects of our personal lives to the community as a whole.

For all of this—the friendship and family that I’ve grown to respect, here—I want to say, “Thank you.” And, especially to Danny, I wanted to thank you for setting up a site that allows all of us to come together, share our hobbies and lives with one another, and form a family that is rare to find on most other sites around the web. You’re like a big brother to many of us (or for some members, a father…yeah, you’re getting old…^^;;;). So, thank you. ^_^

This brings me to the end of this missive, and the final topic I wanted to bring up. As with every family, there comes a time when a member must depart the nest, venture out into life, and find their own way for awhile. For me, that time has come.

Over the next year, the demands of my professional and personal life will require an immense amount of my time and dedication. After finishing my Master’s thesis, the Air Force will have me going through two other schools—one specifically for my career field, and one for my promotion to Major (and future preparation as Lt Col). I’ll also be delving deeper into my duties at my current job to improve the workplace as a whole (I’m actually the lead process improvement officer, here). Personally, I’ll be trying to visit and spend more time with my daughter in Colorado, as well as developing the relationship with my potential-new girlfriend, here in Hawaii.

So, I bid farewell to you all. This is not a “Goodbye” by any means. I should only be gone a year (give or take some time). I hope that when I do eventually return, you’ll all still be here, and we can trade new stories and laughs. If you want to reach me in the meantime, I will be checking my e-mail and Facebook, daily. Feel free to drop me a missive, there.

Some housecleaning before I go:

1. I stopped at Chibi Miku 174. If someone decides to pick up the series, I’ve linked Safeboro’s Chibi Miku pool, above, as well as Minami’s website. For his Pixiv page, you can go here. Have fun with it…folks around here seem to enjoy the strips. ^_^

2. If someone wants to continue “The Scenario” posts, feel free. The most fun I had with it was posting a short story, and seeing everyone’s responses. I ended at number 130. Feel free to continue with that numbering, or start your own. I’ve noticed a lot of great writers, here, and this is an excellent way of testing and improving your skill.

3. 2D girls that will be open to others: Sunday Mecha Strikers, Tuesday Night Nekomimi, Wet Wednesday, and Saturday Yukata. Keep the stream of 2D girls going; a lot of you like them (including Danny). ^^;

4. Vocaloid music, while having a small commenting audience, seems to be popular with quite a few folks. I encourage those of you that have a love for music to carry this on in your own way. Lelouch and others do a great job with weekly music in their own series. Feel free to join in the fun. ^^

Thanks for all the great memories... ^_^

また いつか、 会いましょう。。。
