Update: The night time shots I took tonight are up in the Gundam Odaiba photo article.

Its complete and Punynari has more pics at his burogu! (update: and more!)
Cant wait to see it with my own eyes!
As for the location - it should be right here.

Original text from punynari below.

Today was my final day before leaving Japan for ages. Was let off work early to get last minute things done. I decided to make another trip to Odaiba, an over an hour and a half trip from Yokosuka, to check the progress on the life sized RX78 Gundam from the original Gundam series that I have been covering since May. I just updated on Sunday. Almost didn't go. I mean, how much progress can they have made in just 2 days? LOTS.

If you would like to take a look at my pics and article on one of the coolest things I have ever seen in my entire life, please do.

http://punynari.wordpress.com/2009/06/09/assembled-life-sized-rx78-gundam-part-1/

Part 2 in a few minutes. Will be linked to from part 1. I hope you enjoy these pics as much as I do and can hopefully get a chance to see this realistic Gundam in person someday.

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.
If you are a regular reader then this message will probably annoy you each time - hide it forever.

This item was posted in the Gundam category. You can see more of everything else or subscribe via RSS instead.

I wasn't expecting it to be completed so soon too.
Just a few days ago I commented on the finished leg part which took almost half a year to materialise. Then in just a few days, the whole Gundam is finished.

I really liked how it looks. The engineers working on "repairing" the Gundam makes it even cooler too... haha. I wonder if Amuro Ray will do a live appearance.

∑(O_O;)WOW, That is amazing! It's only been two days since you posted the pics where only the legs and arms had been finished. How stable is it? Does it do anything or is it just a statue (it's awesome even if it doesn't do anything, but it'd be cooler if it did)?

Holy crap, that's awesome. It's a shame they'll be disassembling it at the end of summer (August 31st according to the link). They should put it in a museum or something. Building something that epic and then taking it down seems like a massive waste of resources to me.

Anyhoo, time to pester my friend to take some pics. He's went to Japan for the summer (mainly for business reasons, but I'm sure he's been sightseeing too) and he'll be there until August, and this looks like one of those once-in-a-lifetime things I think he should go see in person. XD
