The Summer season is soon upon us - will you need to be making more space on your HDD for it or are most of the shows a load of boo boo?
For me, just from glancing at this lot, I'll stick Tokyo Magnitude (cos I love Bones) and Taisho Yakyu Musume (cos I love JC Staff) on my list.

Tokyo Magnitude PV below.

Taisho Musume below.

I'll probably try some Aoi Hana too.

How many on your watch list? And what do you do with all your anime collection anyway?
Do you delete for new series, copy to DVD, backup to external drive or? I only keep the series that I'm fond of but don't bother to burn to DVD - just keep increasing number of drives and RAIDS.

Via Melonpan. What s the story then? Has he given up on Moe or was that post just for laughs?

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.

        Talking about all the series, there are still a stack i have "obtained" but yet to start... lol
        Its abt time... the first half of 2009 sure has pretty crappy anime (excluding Gundam 00)
        FMA is still rather disappointing now (its a remade, which fan wouldn't be bored by it)...
        Enjoying Kamen Rider Decade though

    As for old anime, I keep my favorites on my hard drive and the rest are stored on an external hard drive.

      Yeah, I know what you mean. The only must-watch new anime on my list is Zetsubou Sensei. I'll take a peek at CANAAN, Taishou Yakyuu Musume, and Umi Monogatari though.

      I was reading something on Sankaku Complex earlier today about how an overload of moe and mecha anime has contributed to the "anime bubble burst" and I agree. While I'm not a huge mecha fan, I like moe anime. However, it's become too repetitive as of late and the overall quality of the product has gone downhill.

      The most recent anime that I've enjoyed watching have got to be Toradora and Akikan. Say what you will about the massive mid-season dorama and epic DVD packaging fail (respectively), but I really enjoyed the two series. The characters in Toradora were moeful without being uber-predictable, although everyone gets super moody halfway through the series. I love how the male lead in Akikan (Daichi) is completely shameless. In an era where spineless, "OMG, boobs!" male leads are the norm, it's a breath of fresh air to finally have a male lead drive the female lead crazy with his perversion to the point of nuking him with a melon.

    6 more animes to add to the 17 I'm already watching from this season. Gonna have a massive backlog once exams are over >_<

    The image for Princess Lover looks quite bad. The art in the eroge looks much better. I hate how the art gets killed sometimes in eroge --> anime conversion.
    Btw Canaan's story is by Type-Moon in case anyone didn't know. Just want to spread the Type-Moon love ^^

    There's nothing particularly interesting for me on that list, to be honest. For me the summer and winter seasons are usually a bit weak when compared to the anime starting in spring and autumn.

    I'll try to watch at least the first episode of most of those series to know what they are all about and pass the rest of my spare time with watching/re-watching older series like Clannad, Clannad After Story and Card Captor Sakura. :)

    Winter Sonata! XD Definitely! Why? Maybe it's one anime that my Mother would watch with me and and sisters and my brother who is a k-drama otaku. My mother really likes the animation for the Final Fantasy titles but no others, maybe I can change her mind about other versions of japanese animation.

    Winter Sonata, and Aoi Hana for sure. Aoi Hana's a no brainer - I liked the manga, and I like yuri in general. ^^ As for Winter Sonata, I was actually going to watch the drama previously, but since there's an anime coming out for it... Guess not. ^^;;

    I also have Magnitude 8.0 and CANAAN planned.

    Otherwise I'll be "watching" textbooks and notes. June is exam month, and I have extra classes in July. ._.;;

    I generally burn to DVDs. Possessive nature deems that I keep everything I download. I really can't afford a HDD every few months. DVDs can be a tad bit inconvenient, but they're a dime a dozen nowadays, so I have no reservations about buying them ^^;;

    Love the music in the Aoi Hana PV, I might add. Anyone got a title? *_*

    I watch most of my anime online. If I can't find it online, then I'll torrent it. After I've seen it, I delete it, and if I feel the need to watch it again later, I take that as a sign that I should probably go buy it, assuming it's been released on DVD.

    As for upcoming shows this summer, I'm not terribly impressed. I think the trend in the polls tend to agree. Remember that thread about a decline in anime viewership?

    An anime should be made to communicate some kind of idea or philosophy. It needs a sense of overall purpose. I haven't been seeing that a lot lately.

    I will definitely watch "Spice & Wolf II" and "Aoi Hana".

    Series I'll probably sample are "Canaan", "Geijutsuka Art Design Class", "Kanamemo" and "Sora No Manimani".

    I usually keep a series on hard drive until I've watched it or assembled all episodes, then I back it up on DVD. Currently have 4 cases with 390 CD/DVD's each nearly full and at the prices per Gigabyte I really should switch to external hard drives or NAS.

    Definitely will watch Spice and Wolf II, others I am not sure about yet. Probably will try to check the first episode if I have time.

    And about my anime collection: I don't write any episodes to DVDs or CDs, they stay on the hard drive until I run out of space and need to erase the older ones. But if I really like the series, then I usually buy the box set. This has also the advantage of getting all the extras and supporting the show:)

    All the titles are a tad bit unfamiliar to me... So I guess I need to read some blog and decide which one is good....^^

    For now, Canaan is definitely, and the only one in my watch list...XD

    Honestly, not many interest me. I'd be all over "Spice and Wolf II" if I saw the first season. Normally, I'd be on JC series like crazy, but because they killed the "Kimikiss" anime (and I don't even remember if I saw all of episode 1 or not), I can't use the big studio name method anymore.

    I wish some more mecha and a love triangle to the heroes. Or a bad guy who fell in love with one of the female hero and ultimatelly sacrifice himself to save the girl he likes. I wish they bring back the brave series with a remaster HD upgrade visual. They did it in Dragonball Z Kai.

    That new Cobra is definitely on my list. Loved the original series, which was first anime i saw back in the 80's. Also liked the new OVA aired a while back, even tho it's ending was a bit let down.

    Only one that looks interesting right now is Umineko, since it's based on a game made by the same people who did Higurashi. Maybe the astronomy one too, but then again I'd probably only be watching for the astronomy and there's not likely to be much of that in it.

    What they are making a Tokyo Magnitude anime? I read the first volume ot Tokyo Magnitude manga by Furuya Usumaru and although it's the same concept, the main characters are completely different. The main protagonists were a gothic lolita girl in her 20's and a guy of the same age out of university and trying to get his first job as a salary man. http://www.mangaverse.net/html/tokyomagnitude8couvjap.htm
    I wonder how different and similiar the anime and manga will be. The anime seems to take the approach of a young girl's point of view.

    This season I won't watch any new series.
    Maybe Tokyo Magnitude, I love Bones too.

    I got tons of series yet to see, from last year and before.
    I burn all the series I download, in separate DVD's (I don't mix 2 titles on the same disc, even if it's only 13 chapters and lets 1GB free on it). Actually have around 200 and they're starting to use a lot of space :S

    There aren't any that really catch my attention in that list, so I may not pick up any. Perhaps this is a good excuse to spend my time more productively, like getting back into PHP or learn C++

    As for storage, I'm the same as Danny here; leave ones I like on HDD and keep increasing storage as required.

    Several of those are on my watchlist. I store all of my anime on external drives. I never delete any unless I absolutely hate it.
