Check out the figma blog to see clearer pics of the di:stage Basic set (580 yen) and the di:stage Extended set (580 yen) which will both be out this Summer.

The Basic set comes with a single base and clear attachments to hold your figures and accessories in place. The extra black bits on the sides are to attach more di:stage bases together. Mikatan Blog gives you a clearer idea of how this works.

Fit up to three figmas on a single base.

5 di:stage bases attached together.

Also fit your Nendoroids on them.

Also includes slots to hold bits of cardboard for dioramas.

Can fit n float 3 nendo puchi's.

Awesome Rin n Saber battle diorama.

di:stage on your get list? If so how many?

Original text from iron2000 below.

"More space, more fun.
The new generation display base "di:stage'
For all the action figure fans."

The new product is coming 2009 Summer.

The base is 10cm by 10cm.

2 sets announced at the moment both to be sold at 580yen:
- di:stage Basic Set
- di:stage Extension Set 01 Layer Unit

Looks like thats some announcement event on it on 19 May at some UDX Theater, theres a registration form at the figma site.

More pictures and details at the official site:

Man, I like how it can assemble to become a closed display case!
(Seems possible to scratchbuild something like this.)

Maybe I'll wait and see what other sets gets released for it.
I suppose there should be color variants, transparent types...etc

So what now figma, nendo and other figure fans?
(By the way, 2 new figmas set to release in July)

Looks like theres 5 stands of different height to hold paper cutouts.

Quite a few types of pegs to fix to the figure holding stad too and that waist clip from Saber Lily, i think.

The waist clip is similar, but not like the one that comes with Saber Lily. The di:stage uses a clamp mechanism for that piece that you are referring to. This is to ensure that figmas with varying waist sizes can be used with the clamp as well.

I just found the button on the bottom of the dl stage site. It tells you different ways to display, and also what things come with which set. Like for basic set, it comes with clips clamps and stand things. I like how the system has many possibilities and I'll definitely get one for sure. Seems they're priced at 580yen each.

you would say its not expansive

but I think they are expansive
because for a nice diorama you need 5 of them
    same cost as a figma

and I would like to make dioramas for all my Figma
and I have 46 at the moment so that would make 26680 yen

Hoped they would make omplete sets like they made for Nendoroid

The fact that they're modular and that you can use the stand holes vertically as well as horizontally is just blowing my imagination right now; I'm talking epic figma battles between Nanoha and Nagato with Nanoha ready to hit a Divine Buster from 2 di:stages above Nagato, who is defending with Lambda Driver shield XD

I was pretty excited until I saw that they were black. I think they should be made out of the same clear plastic as the attachments.

Then again, I'd probably be printing out backgrounds to stick on them anyhow.

You wouldn't need to paint them; just print out a color swatch the color you need then use the provided parts to create a 'green screen' in front of the pegs. You can also make a green floor as well with printed material. Much like the background for the Mikumiku Kagami and Saber vs Rin diaramas above.

Hmmm. I wonder if there's a sloped piece to put on the edge so it doesn't look like the stage cuts off.

I'm so happy they have a clamp arm, I'll use these with many different action figure types. I will buy dozens of stages. Please Goodsmile, make a lot, don't let these become rare items!

    I ordered 3 + 1 extension set so far.
Got.. *counts* 11 figma's with 2-3 more on the way and 4 nendo's with Saber Lily joining later.
    Can we Westerners (Europeans *cough*) get these papercrafts as well? They look awesome ;_;

Figmas have more skinny bodies than Revoltechs, especially the mechas...
So I don't really know if I'm going to buy it for the picture purpose or not...
    On the pending list, though.
