di:stage

Check out the figma blog to see clearer pics of the di:stage Basic set (580 yen) and the di:stage Extended set (580 yen) which will both be out this Summer.
The Basic set comes with a single base and clear attachments to hold your figures and accessories in place. The extra black bits on the sides are to attach more di:stage bases together. Mikatan Blog gives you a clearer idea of how this works.

Fit up to three figmas on a single base.

5 di:stage bases attached together.

Also fit your Nendoroids on them.

Also includes slots to hold bits of cardboard for dioramas.

Can fit n float 3 nendo puchi's.

Awesome Rin n Saber battle diorama.

di:stage on your get list? If so how many?
Original text from iron2000 below.

Man, I like how it can assemble to become a closed display case!
(Seems possible to scratchbuild something like this.)
Maybe I'll wait and see what other sets gets released for it.
I suppose there should be color variants, transparent types...etc
So what now figma, nendo and other figure fans?
(By the way, 2 new figmas set to release in July)

6? Hah! I'm going to need 20 of them for my collection XD These look so awesome, and I am already imagining all the wonderful stuff I could do with something like that XD
Otari Vader, Sith Lord for Hire, will fillet Makoto Itou for free
http://coffeebugg.blogspot.com/
Now that you mention it, yes.. they hold a lot of possibilities that not even 20 can accommodate for creative purposes.
Student
Looks like they have speech bubbles too?
http://iron2000.blogspot.com
Looks like theres 5 stands of different height to hold paper cutouts.
Quite a few types of pegs to fix to the figure holding stad too and that waist clip from Saber Lily, i think.
Avid figma collector
http://yuuichikun.wordpress.com/
The waist clip is similar, but not like the one that comes with Saber Lily. The di:stage uses a clamp mechanism for that piece that you are referring to. This is to ensure that figmas with varying waist sizes can be used with the clamp as well.
Student
I just found the button on the bottom of the dl stage site. It tells you different ways to display, and also what things come with which set. Like for basic set, it comes with clips clamps and stand things. I like how the system has many possibilities and I'll definitely get one for sure. Seems they're priced at 580yen each.

Now if these can only be modified to hold gundams (probably only HGs)
http://iron2000.blogspot.com
Should be able to as the figma normal stand is seen to be able to hold HG 1/144 kits from 00.

Looks interesting, lots of different posing options. 580 yen is a pretty good price, but I wonder how many I'll end up getting.

http://poisondusk.wordpress.com/
They look great! I'll probably grab a couple of basic sets, and maybe an extension set later on. ¥580 is a decent price, but buying more than a couple of sets will start to add up quickly ^^;

Want this right now !!!!!!!!!!
Student
you would say its not expansive
but I think they are expansive
because for a nice diorama you need 5 of them
same cost as a figma
and I would like to make dioramas for all my Figma
and I have 46 at the moment so that would make 26680 yen
Hoped they would make omplete sets like they made for Nendoroid

Is the extended set 580 yen or 5800 yen?
Student/Amateur Artist
http://poisondusk.wordpress.com/
Website says 580, and given that it appears to be just joining parts the 580 is probably correct.
Avid figma collector
http://yuuichikun.wordpress.com/
Seeing that the sets are very small, 5800en would be way too expensive for just one...

The di:stage reminds me of Gundam bases from Bandai (Action Base) and from Kotobukiya (Mechanical Chain Base). Price looks reasonable and affordable, but still not sure whether I will plan to buy many if any.

Ehhh.... cool yes.... will save space on figma-display bases. But some of that would take up even more room lol. And I just don't have the extra room. For my 5 figma's... I spose I'd get 2 or 3 parts.
Avid figma collector
http://yuuichikun.wordpress.com/
The fact that they're modular and that you can use the stand holes vertically as well as horizontally is just blowing my imagination right now; I'm talking epic figma battles between Nanoha and Nagato with Nanoha ready to hit a Divine Buster from 2 di:stages above Nagato, who is defending with Lambda Driver shield XD

Interesting. I'm thinking get some green paint and you could chroma key the stands out and do some stop motion animation.
Laptop Tech
Ohh! Thats an awesome idea! I have Stop Motion animation software that allows you to do green screen.... I may drop for several of these! :)
Avid figma collector
http://yuuichikun.wordpress.com/
You wouldn't need to paint them; just print out a color swatch the color you need then use the provided parts to create a 'green screen' in front of the pegs. You can also make a green floor as well with printed material. Much like the background for the Mikumiku Kagami and Saber vs Rin diaramas above.
