An incredibly enchanting video of Tokyo. If you want to be in Japan then watching this video may help you focus even more and get to your goal.
Reminds me of when I used to look at that poster I had of Shinjuku on my bedroom wall back in the UK. I would look at it every day and tell myself that I was going to make it - I was going to live and work in Japan.

Discovered on the side bar of Alafista.

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.
If you are a regular reader then this message will probably annoy you each time - hide it forever.

That's a shame you will experience Japan through the eyes of the U.S. Navy....

Better to just get a simple college degree , then go there as an English teacher. The military career will always make you see Japan in a different light.

I always had a certain love for Japan ever since I was young, I also have two Filipina aunts living there, a Japanese Uncle, and a Japanese cousin.

I am well aware of the requirements to immigrate there, and a good understanding about the cost of living.

But I have to say that my place, is here in my own country... for now.

I believe there is still so much to achieve here, not only for myself but for my other countrymen too.

I have not even seen yet, all the beauty and wonders that my homeland has to offer.

So I think my Japan dreams can wait, for now i have to face what is already here, what has been given unto me by the Philippines. ^^

To achieve that dream we must work even harder like Danny and achieve out goal .

All I'm gonna say is " Danny, you inspired us all Gaijin Otakus to achieve our dreams of Living in Japan , You almost take us in Japan with your pictures and inspired us with your ideas of creating a better community . Without You , life would be as dull as a rock ."

There is a LOT of music like this from Japan, Takagi Masakatsu , Aoki Takamasa are two others for example. Japan is actually AWASH with great electronic music (after you wade through all the shi*ty J-Pop & anime music.

Dont get me wrong - I LOVE anime, but Anime music is uaually terrible, and further feeds the stereo-type that Japanese are terrible at music...

My biggest regret in regards to working in Japan is the fact that in the city I lived in I had to go to a technical college to learn to become a multimedia developer (in hopes of becoming a 3d artist) and not to university. At least with university I could have applied for the JET Program. And there was none of the alternative programs in the city either... also that my high school didn't have a Japanese course, because I needed to start learning as early as possible. I'm learning Japanese now, better late than never!

I am glad I was lucky enough to visit, and hope to visit and even costume there again soon.

Not now, long ago it was an idea but thanks to injuries and head injuries I am looking forward to buying 5000 acres someday and putting a house in the middle with no other houses on the property anywhere. Just me and my family only, no brain smasher stereo people, no kids screaming and busting out our windows no one.

Japan is highly compact and populated so would be the opposite of where I am heading now thanks to injuries caused by other people.

I would like to live and work in Japan someday but I have no idea how I'll get there since I don't even know what I want to do for a living yet -__- I was considering doing the JET program and searching for other opportunities route but they only pay you like... $20k-$30k USD yearly salary... The music video is awesome. But You could make a video like that of any city. It's the people that are important when deciding where to live. The nice character of people and culture in Japan are what make me want to live there. Of course not everyone is the same but it's a lot better than a lot of other places.

To live and work in Japan is my dream, and I'm working towards it everyday.

The video did't show up though, just a blank flash lying there, as every other video posted here. Because The Great Firewall of China banned youtube for some reason.

Motivation huh? China it self is a HUGE motivation for me now. I wanna get outta here!

...Well, thank you anyway. Always happy to read your blog.

Man, I *SO* want to transfer badly to my Japanese branch office. >_<
Too bad, they don't have a need for my position over there
as it is currently filled. Maybe in the future, if they
expand then I would get an opportunity. :)

Really nice. But it looks like the same could be done with New York as much as Japan so it's not like it makes me think Japan is that much cooler.

amazing pictures, indeed Japan cities are worth to see, but one can get surprises, like the city inhabitants make the city and... they are just as human as the current neighbors. -_- May be its my hikikomori side. =P
Thanks for the video and pictures, will help me improve. =)

I will work and live in Japan, I just love the video. I just recently purchased 3 books to help me start learning the japanese language. The books are:

First Book of Basic Japanese Writing (Kodansha's
    Children's Classics)
Kodansha's Furigana Japanese Dictionary: Japanese-English English-
    Kana Flashcards (Japanese Edition)

Does anyone have any other suggestions for a beginners way to learn Japanese...

    Thanks in advance.
