Shining Wind Elmina
Quick look at the Kotobukiya Elmina figure thats due to be out very soon.
Kotobukiya brought a couple along to Tokyo CGM Night where Zareds won one in an arm wrestling match with Hisagi from Shakaijin.
I managed to walk away with one without the arm wrestling ^^;
Well painted and sculpted.
Lovely colors too.
Cloak and skirt casts off...
Figures and Macs will be the main these of the Tokyo Figure Show that I'm organizing with the two biggest figure makers and Apple.
And a peek at the Black Widow figure that Kotobukiya insisted that I have. Apparently only a few hundred of these were made.

Few hundred or not, I can't say I'm a huge fan of that black Widow. Something about the face bothers me. The Kotobukiya Elmina figure is absolutely beautiful, though. Any idea on the price range?

The Black Widow art on the box looks better then the figure.

The Black Widow figure doesn't match the likeness on the box at all...midriff exposed and short blonde hair on the figure vs. no midriff but serious cleavage and long red hair in the image.

For me ~ Elmina is ok.
I am not too keen on the *add exposure of flange?* ~ the edges ~ along the hairline, and the paint job looked diminished somehow... subdued in a way ...maybe it's just me and/or maybe the lighting?
Black Widow...
She appears to be a completely different person within the box, verses what is imprinted on the outside. o.O?
1. Face is no issue for me ~ but (does) looks more rounded?
2. Hair is short, and in addition, is a different colour? ~ why?
3. The uniform/clothing differs...
Could this be a reason why its a limited Edition, because if the variants in the style and appearance?
Just wondering... why the deviance from the original character?

My thoughts exactly with Elmina's hair, the edges of the bangs look a little rough for my liking, but it's a great figure nonetheless!

The Elmina figure you received seems to be in its rough stages with the colors being flat and the hair and face looking overly plastic and with an expression like a zombie.
I agree with other's, the black widow figure does not resemble the one on the box and would lead one to think that the factory had made a mix up in the packaging, that aside the figure does look good but has a soccer mom face to a point.

I'm loving everything about the Elmina...but..the face, it seems awkward with the rest of her. Maybe if she had a more defined smile and slightly different eye shape, so as not to have such a bland expression. ^.^

As a side note ( XD ), the figure's colors are well done indeed, but the flare of the figure seems too well-polished for me. I'm a bigger fan of sharper lines and angles; maybe that's why her hair just doesn't do it for me.
