Pre-order info for the World is Mine Hatsune Miku is up at GoodSmile together with more pics.
There is this natural frame version and dark frame version too.
Both retail for 8,800 yen and will be out in September. From the pics at GSC, looks like you can actually hang her on the wall.

And for those who have not seen it - World is Mine video below.

Just like with Black Rock Shooter, its amazing how skilled Good Smile are with mastering the feeling and features and making it identical to the original artwork. Amazing.

It is an amazingly accurate sculpt, but Good Smile company is only responsible for manufacturing it.

The sculptor responsible is Sakurako Iwanaga (石長 櫻子) who I imagine was contracted for the job.

Now I don't know whether to hunt down the regular standing version (to combine it with the twins) or get this beautiful framed one...

8,800Yen still looks pretty fair for a GSC figure with such a base. I mean look at GSC Saber Lily price, or Alter Yoko bounty hunter,...

I'm thinking it's because those ones have a bigger scale, but I guess the base make up for the lack in size?

Well, think about material used and the fact that that extra material needs to be sculpted - whether it's a base or part of the figure. It evens out to mean a higher price either way.

I pre-ordered the BRS, but I don't understand the obsession over this Miku. Her face may look like the art work, but the art work doesn't look anything like the usual Miku. Therefore there is a big disconnect that the two are even the same characters

Well, I think I won't get this one. There is already a few figures I want to get in Summer, including very expensive Alter Fate, so my account wouldn't be happy if I ordered this one too. Besides, the idea of figure firmly sticked to the stand by her back doesn't really appeal to me. But my opinion might change later.

I'm not really into Miku but this one looks pretty good and the idea of framing figures and hanging them on the wall is really good. The only problem I can foresee is the difficulty in allocating the wall space for already stuffed rooms... its not like it has to be hung on a wall but it takes away from the experience if you don't.

Instant get for me. Haven't decided yet which frame, though I think the dark frame might fit the rest of the display best. With all the dark colors between the base and the figure itself, the light frame seems to create a contrast that might be undesirable. I do think it's a great idea to offer two frame choices, though! I'm also interested to see how Miku attaches to the base for wall mounting.

On the price, I'm glad to see we didn't end up with another GSC figure at 9,800. I don't know how much more of that some of us could take. ^^'

The sheets look great except I prefer the regular looking Miku and that light frame looks really cheap and tacky, i'm quite puzzled why they even produced that version to begin with (possibly to repaint it because the dark frame isn't much better).
The dark frame is about the same thing except with dark varnish and though it suits it better the colour makes you think of your grandparents' furniture.

That looks absolutely awesome. I don't recall other figures that can be hung on a wall like that.

Looks great but a pass for me. I try to stay away from wall sculptures (resin especially) because they are prone to breaking and my wall is already over full with posters and what not.

Now, that's a kind of base we don't see very often. Haha
Won't be getting this Miku though.

I preordered mine yesterday. I can't wait ^^. The base is pretty unique and different than normal figures. In addition, it was made by GSC so both reasons were enough to convince to pre-order her.
