The increase of Korean readers of late at dannychoo.com has given me motivation to start writing in Korean again which I done many moons ago.
Not used my Korean for ages and is currently very rusty but writing every day will give me the opportunity to brush up.
Not only that, the UI will all be localized too. The screenshot is from my development box - the Korean needs brushing up ^^;

By just adding Korean text to my content and tweaking the headers, my content will begin to get indexed by Korean search engines which will also drive traffic to the website. If for example you want a Japanese language page on your site indexed by Japanese Google then you need something like the following in your header. have a look at the Japanese pages on dannychoo.com to see how your headers and meta tags should be structured.
META NAME="CONTENT-LANGUAGE" CONTENT="JA"

Am also planning a trip to Seoul in June/July-ish and it has nothing whatsoever to do with the picture below.

This group is Girls Generation or (So Nyo Si Dae) [소녀시대] - a very cute girl group and you can see how cute in the video below which I've had on loop playing in the background for the past hour - very very catchy! They are also called SNSD.

And more of Girls Generation in the CM below.

Girls Generation Tiffany in action below.

Original image here where you can get a better look at those lovely legs - sourced from Gom TV.

최근에는 한국의 유저가 꽤 증가해서 너무 기뻐요. 그런데 한국판의 dannychoo.com을 시작하겠습니다.
옛날에는 일본어, 영어, 중국어, 한국어의 기사를 쓰고 있었지만, 과연 길게 계속하지 않았다 ^^;

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.
If you are a regular reader then this message will probably annoy you each time - hide it forever.

I never understood the meaning of having so many girls in a group. Is anyone able to identify them?! Even though I am asian myself -- it would take forever to fully recognize any of them in an individual context away from "Large Korean Pop Girl Group". Ah well, how is the Japanese anime/figures/culture in Korea?

By the way, when I was logging in to comment, I saw a slight spelling error, not that it matters: "Click the "Login" button instead of hittng return (browser bug"

I initially had a very hard time telling them apart. 2 or 3 of the taller girls look VERY similar in some photos. But if you like the group and start to follow their TV and radio appearances, they have different personalities and become more individualized.

A lot of Korean girls look very similar imo. Some of the girls in SNSD look like some of the ones in Wonder Girls. I think it's because they all get plastic surgery from the same doctors ^_^

the reason why they do that is to figure out which girl/girls will be popular. once they figure out which girl/girls have the most popularity, they make a group or soloist and weed out the weak/unpopular girls.

They do that in the States too. Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, Spice Girls (damn those are some old examples), although I think Pop and American Idol are a better current example of getting a bunch of strangers to pick the best. They are mostly to promote a bunch of unknown to-be celebrities and see which one appeals more to the public.

I'm going to have to brush up on my Korean too. I'll probably start off by trying to read your blog in Korean.

Here's a SNSD clip you might enjoy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vy8WgU3h4oQ

One thing about Korean otaku culture which seems different to me. Japan's otaku culture seems to be dominated by anime and manga. Korea's seems to be dominated by Kdramas and K-pop. At least that's how it appears from an outsider's perspective. I haven't been to Korea in some years, and while I see Korean culture blogs about Korean idols and such, I rarely see many about manhwa or native Korean anime.

By the way, you should check out the many dance covers to Girls' Generation's Gee on Youtube. They range from very good to hilarious.

That's probably because the older generation doesn't like manhwa nor anime as much. Thinking back, I think people started to burn manhwa in the 70's - 80's... but it did gain a tad bit more popularity, and one even managed to get Japan-animated, such as Kurohime (technically it's in Japanese, but by a Korean author-artist duo). Many manhwa, however, are being made into live-action, such as Full House, Princess Hour, Shikgaek, and War of the Money/Money Wars.

Many people think that native Korean decreased so much due to the popularity of free-to-play massive-online games by companies such as NEXON and such. I have to agree on this opinion, too...

Regarding Chinese, there was a discussion a long time ago about languages...don't recall if it was for GSC or DC or just in general.

There was a huge debate over whether it should be simplified or traditional Chinese.

It was 5:00am (I live in Portugal btw) when I decided it was time to be getting ready to go to bed, since I've been working for 4/5 hours. But, before i stopped everything, I decided to drop by Google Reader to see the news. Found this post, and since I'm a big fan of the site, I read it top to bottom. I came across the video with the music.

    ...

It's now almost 5:30am and I've been unable to go away all thanks to that music!!!
I was trying to learn about J2ME and, more specifically, SonyEricsson's Project Capuchin while listening to music. Heck, I'm writing this post listening to the music.

And the funny thing is...I've never been a fan of J-Pop/K-Pop!
It's not very very catchy. It is, basically, addictive. You should have posted some kind of warning!

Oh, well...why fight it? I'm a fan now!
    Excellent post. ;-)
