Its a Dollfie day today. Just arrived on the doorstep is my Volks member magazine full of Dollfie goodies which includes pics of this Dollfie Rin Tosaka.
Looks like she will be an exclusive DollParty 21 and retails for 50,400 yen. More pics online at Volks.
I'm more of a Saber person myself.

Original text from GrimbySlayer below.

Was just about turn in for the night when I came across this. Any Rin fans? This should compliment anyone's Saber dollfie quite nicely...

Image is yanked from VOLKS.

        I too submitted money for Yoko. Plus, if she is part of the Dollparty 21; doesn't that mean she is part of a lottery system? Not to say that if the opportunity arose that I wouldn't try to secure a Rin ^^;

I would be happy with a Rin after missing my chance to get Saber =D

I would be too nervous to order a Dollfie without seeing the finished product first, or at least see what her face mold will look like. Seriously I think this is the first time Volks does something like this, playing with our feelings! >_<

Dollfie Dreams are usually very very very easy to buy for Canadians from Volks USA ( I know, I have bought MANY!!)
Keep looking there too see when you have a chance to apply to buy a Rin http://www.volksusa.com/
The quantities are limited, but odds for Dollfie Dreams are quite high compared to the odds for Super Dollfie (resin dolls). Good luck!

Anyone know what is availability for dollfies like?? Is it like figures, which if slightly popular, you literally need to buy the moment it hit the shelves or cry later.....

Or will this be available for some time??? Because I honestly can't see myself fork out this much money until at least next year....@___@

Anyone know what site (or store) best for buying Dollfies and their necessity for someone living at Singapore???? best in term of the one that will dealt least painful blow to my wallet..

Ummmm for Singapore it may be harder for you to buy her (sorry... ). Your best and only way may be Yahoo Japan auction after the Volks Doll Party on May 5th. The day after the Dolpa, several Rin and Fate Dollfies should show up for auction. It's quite the phenomenon. You would pay a bit more for auction deputy service fees, unless you have a friend in Japan to help you out. You can't buy her directly from the Volks japan website, as these dolls are sold at a special doll event you have to attend too and fight tons of other Dollfie fans.

A few Ebay sellers also sell the limited Dollfies, a bit more expensive, but those auctions usually stay up for a few weeks so it gives you more time to buy them.
(Anybody looking for a DD Dynamite Escalayer? There's 2 on Ebay right now for US $890.00 and US $999.00 .. haha >_<)

If you have a friend in North America, you can ask them to enter the "Lottery" when it is announced at the Volks USA site. Volks USA holds a lottery because the dolls are in limited quantity, this way they give everybody a chance to apply to buy the dolls they like. The Dollfie Dreams are usually not that popular here, as most North American dollfie collectors prefer to buy the resin dollfies.

I hope this was a bit helpful and didn't discourage you. Good luck!

Well.. it kinda discourages me.... a lot... T.T

Not your fault tho... just forking 50,000 yen is a nightmare in itself for me, if I have to pay deputy service for something this expensive (not including the blown up Yahoo auction price) it'll easily costs me 2-3 figmas...

      sob....

And there's no way I can save enough cash before the turn of the year, doushiyo kanna... (TT x TT)

Ah, the price on Yahoo auction is not that blown up, sometimes you can find it almost for the same price, because there are many on auctions during the first few weeks. Deputy service fee isn't too bad either... maybe like $60 US plus shipping fees which are not too bad either. Don't lose hope! Faito!!

Ahh next year might be harder to find her. But you can sometime get really lucky and buy them 2nd hand for cheap. Keep waiting the right time when everyone else forget about her hehe. I do normally like Rin, but this somehow doesn't feel quite like her. Rin is the kind of person who glares at everything, even when she's happy, and this Dollfie isn't glaring quite enough.

Omg, I am this close to get a Dollfie now, especially after seeing this Rin. The only thing that kinda hold me back is the insane price, bout 50k Yen per one. Still, I'm really close to get one now, can't resist much longer,

Are you near the Torrence LA store? Lucky! You better enter the "Lottery" when it is announced on the Volks Usa website just to make sure you have one reserved for you. Btw, what is this Lottery system you talk about ? I heard about it but never understand how it work. Is it like you buy a ticket and cross your fingers hoping your ticket would win you the doll like normal lottery ????

Let me show you an example of an old lottery post to better explain :

          http://site.volksusa.com/blog/2009/03/14/home-town-dolpa-kyoto-6-lottery-entry/

Basically, Volks will announce ahead of time on which day you can enter the lottery. Then on the designated days, you can add the doll of your choice to your shopping cart, just as if you are buying her. You won't be charged for the doll until you receive a "winning" confirmation email 1 week after or so.

Volks never tells you how many dolls they will have of each. Let's say there are 10 Rin available, and only 10 people or less enter the lottery to buy Rin, then all will be "winners". If 11 or more people enter to buy Rin, then the "winners" are randomly selected by a lottery system. You can only buy 1 of each dolls. If you enter for 2 dolls in the lottery, you can "win" both, 1, or none. Many people enter the lottery for the limited character resin dolls, but not as many for the dollfie dreams. So it's not as hard as it seem to "win" a DD. ^_^

Hmm looks like many of them are limited releases so you'll probably need to preorder rather than wait till it hits the shelves.. Also seems that many of these including the Fate stay night ones, are event only limited edition dolfies, so you'll have go go to Japan and attend the event, or get someone to buy one for you.

These dolls usually sell at Volks Usa, and surprisingly they are not all that very popular. Haha. You can find old "Limited" characters still in stock months after the events. They are getting more and more popular now though, so this might change eventually. I have many of these Dollfies and never had to go to Japan of get someone to buy one for me (except Kanu, cuz she was the special exception only sold in Japan, along with Ryomou)

I love Rin! Thats a really cute Dollfie Dream of her but to me in a way the body doesn't look long enough. Maybe the skirt needs to be lowered? Other than that its super. I only know the Rin Tohsaka from Fate Stay Night Anime, never saw or played any of the games or read any Manga on it.
The VolksUSA.com place doesn't seem to have ANY Anime related items but there are still a lot of very cute looking ones in the smaller sizes to be seen.

The licensed anime DDs are all limited editions, so they tend to be rather buried in the US site unless your timing's really good on a particular one. Keep shifting through, and you might find a few; if you don't, you can still find them on eBay or YJ Auctions with some patience.

I actually really like this one... I wasn't a big fan of the Saber Dolfie (shorry!) as I thought the expression on it was a bit odd. I really like the face on this one. Something about the expression just seems a bit truer to the character.

Argh. I want this. Money isn't the problem, it's the fact you gotta go to the doll party. >_<

Anyone know what the chances are of this going on the US store, or if I should just get it from Yahoo Japan if people who go to the party put some there?

If you are in the USA, keep going here : http://www.volksusa.com/ until they announce the Dollpa 21 lottery. Then enter the lottery (you have about 3 days usually). Your chances to win a DD in the lottery are I'd say about 99% chances to win! (I never lost and entered for a bunch of them). There will be a lot of Rin at Yahoo Japan a day or so after the Dollpa (sometimes the same day!), but you'll be paying like $600-700 with all the added fees instead of around $500-somethign on the USA site. So, just keep visiting http://www.volksusa.com/ every couple of days. ^_^

Ah sadness, I was completely unaware of the volksusa store... I could have put my lottery for the DDD Escalayer by the time I noticed her, great sadness... judging from the delivery schedule, it would seems delivery is sometime in May, here is hoping there will be lower priced one in auction site by then.

Yeah, I'm in the USA. Thanks for the suggestion. I don't mind paying to import it from Japan if I need to, but of course I'd rather buy it here in the USA to save money if I can. I will try that!

Oh Danny, Danny... Whatever have you done here? Rin is amazing, one of the nicest looking Dollfies ever (I went back and looked at a bunch in the last few days). I haven't had any interest in ball-jointed dolls before and haven't seen Fate before, but I fell for this Rin pretty much instantly. She looks so classy and well-crafted, and seems like she really wants to be adopted. I never imagined myself saying this, but I'm going to have to adopt a Dollfie. And it's all your fault :) .

Much Thanks to the other commenters in this thread who discussed how to go about trying to get a limited DD. That was a HUGE help, since I didn't know anything about the Dollfie adoption process before. I'm going to try to enter the lottery for Rin as soon as Volks USA opens it.

If we win Rin, we'll be taking a break from Anime Expo to visit the Tenshi no Sumika in LA to pick up another outfit or two for her in a few months.

The dolpa 21 winners were announced today. We won the ability to buy / adopt a Rin! Mission successful. Now I'm looking forward to July when she will arrive at last. Looks like your posting inspired us to research and appreciate the Dollfie Dreams.

For good measure we also bought Rin's Academy Uniform set, since she looks especially nice in that outfit.

So what do people do for dollfie dream-sized wardrobe and hangers? I'm trying to decide if there's something useful to buy or if I should custom make her some furniture...
