Orchid Seed Gothpunk Mikuru

Due out in June is this Orchid Seed version of EST (Eyes Squashed Together) Gothpunk Mikuru.
Tis 1/7 scale and will retail for 6,800 yen. Another Mikuru figure to add to my collection of 5 or 6 (?) Shes a gorgeous girl so I dont get bored of figures of her but I do hear some folks complaining about the amount of Haruhi figures available.

One of the main reasons why there are so many Haruhi figures is that they sell a bucket load - meaning the manufacturer knows they are going to make a profit rather than end up with a warehouse full of unpopular figures.
Eroge figures also sell extremely well too.

The problem figure makers have is that it takes about 6 months to make a figure - by then the anime series has usually finished its run and folks are interested in new fresh girls in the new season. if manufacturers do end up making figures for a series that has ended, its usually because they have insider info on a second season or have done a lot of research as to what will sell. Again, many popular series such as Haruhi, Nanoha, Ikkitousen, Lucky Star etc will always sell.
