Mirai Suenaga Merchandise
UPDATE: Progress photos of the Figma Mirai-chan are back from the figma team - just uploaded the photos.
It gives me great pleasure to announce that Mirai-chan will be Dakimakura-ified, Bed Sheet-ified and Oppai Mouse-ified thanks to comrades at Digicraft who hold a huge share in the character goods market in Japan.
Work life is greato. I blog about topics that I'm passionate about which attracts users and industry folks. The industry folks want to work with me to reach out to my users and also end up wanting services of my company Mirai Inc. My clients not only end up using my web services, they also want to make products of my site mascots too ^^;
Will update you on the Figma Mirai soon but first lets take a lookie at the samples of the dakimakura cover, bed sheet and oppai mousepad that recently came back from the factories in Taiwan and China.
First up is the gorgeous Mirai-chan dakimakura. Azami sensei has done an awesome job as usual. This is the front side called "Omote" [表[おもて]].
And this is the back side called "Ura" [裏[うら]]. The quality of the material is incredibly good - and I'm not just saying that - it really is! ^^; The texture is a bit like the silky warm Sasara Kusugawa - only thicker and heavier.
I got inspiration for the shape of Mirai-chans eyes from this Yuki Hibarigaoka dakimakura - scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see that the eyes are not level - one is looking upwards due to her arm being above her head ^^;
Awesomely cute. While wifey didn't like the Sasara Kusugawa dakimakura - she wholeheartedly approves this design - she even has this dakimakura in her office!

Alternatively you can get it at Gamers too. If you are in Akihabara today then they may already have her up on the shelves.
Next up is this gorgeous silky bed sheet of Mirai-chan. This pose is called the "Han-nugi Mitsume" [半脱ぎみつめ] or "half nekkid gaze" ^^;
The creases disappear after using or hanging the sheet on the wall for a while.
Very soft n silky to the touch - Ideal for dolphin owners who don't want to sustain injuries with the traditional sandpaper dakimakura material.

As you can see she also makes a great tea time table cloth too.
The bed sheet is available on Hobby Stock too and also retails for 100,000 yen.
Brocolli are also taking orders. I've been told that this one is on display on the 2nd floor of Gamers just outside Akiba station.
And Mirai-chan kindly offers her eyes to aid the poor wrists of mouse users worldwide - the Oppai Mousepad.
This swimwear illustration was done a few years ago and wasn't specifically designed for an oppai mousepad as such but fits quite well - not perfect though.
The color didn't turn out quite as I imagined and will be working with Digicraft and the factory to get a more rich color. The dakimakura and bed sheet designs are final but this one will undergo a few tweaks.
The other mousepad is Yuki-chan who you saw in the Oppai Mousepad review.
Looks great on the desk.

Folks outside of Japan will have to wait a wee bit longer before you can order these at places that ship overseas. Will let you know when they are ready.
This was the initial sketch. Remember - when commissioning work, you should always ask the illustrator to draw a naked version so that you can add layers of different clothing on top.

The "dannychoo.com" watermark in the right corner that you see here was automatically done by imagemagick and is not on the original wallpaper.
The bed sheet is a white backdrop layer with the bedding shadows. In order to make this wallpaper, I removed the white sheet but her left hand looks odd as its supposed to be clenching onto the sheet ^^;
I love the crying expression that Azami sensei does.
I first came into contact with Azami sensei through work at Microsoft. Some sketches were presented from an advertising agency who we were working with which had sensei's work.
The sketches included a picture of a crying maid which I fell in love with - t'was so cute!
Ah, nearly forgot to mention that the new range of Mirai-chan products will be branded Miracle Mirai.
Made a version without the stockings too.
I think this "Ikenai" expression is my fave.
And the nosebleed version ;-) All these are available now in the Wallpaper Pool at high res.
Just like you can download the layered PSD files of previous illustrations, I've also prepared a distribution of the dakimakura Mirai (without nekki Mirai (sorry!)) - get it here - you need to be logged in to download it. I expect quite a few people trying to download it at the same time so just leave that browser tab open and the server will get round to serving you.

Yeah....I'd my doubt at first but now this pretty much convinced me. This all one big April fool joke once more. The thing that make me think so are basically, the fact that HS as in big red letter "※April 1 is April Fool's Day.", then I doubt Danny would truly market a produce any one outside of Japan couldn't get. I mean, I'm sure the vast majority of reader are outside of Japan, so this would sound like a bad market strategy. Thirdly, the dakimakura become available on April first? That sound some what convenient... a little too much convenient. For those that says he already has the product, I'd like to point out about one of the member news sometime ago that was posted about some guy doing custom dakimakura on order. So the fact he has them doesn't make it less likely it is an April foul joke. Then, Danny Choo is well known to do this every year. So yeah, this is all one big April foul joke, like the Mirai anime and eroge. After all, he did have screen shot for the eroge as well. :P

Definitely getting the Figma but still considering on the dakimakura. The two double-sided ones I have are the exact same material but from a HK seller and they only cost $50 total with shipping. So hard to justify spending $100 on one ;;
The bed sheet is only twin size so will think about it just like the dakimakura and decide on one or the other. If it was full/queen size I would definitely get it.
